    Advice For "rusty" Dancer

I found some helpful advice at http://dateastripper.blogspot.com/, and I have some unanswered questions.
I am not sure if any of you would have a simple answer for me, but I thought that either way, someone could probably guide me in the right direction.

You see, I live in Ontario Canada. I moved to Montreal a couple of years ago to move out on my own, and start dancing(the city where I was living; and currently reside is too small= I would be found out in an instant!!) Anyhow, I stopped dancing when I moved back here for school, and subsequently stopped dancing.
I am interested in returning to work in clubs back in Montreal from time to time, and I thought you could give me some pointers/refresher for a stripper that has not worked the floor for about a year and a few months.

Also, I have this slight issue. When I work in a small tranquil club, it does not seem to be a problem, but when I go to the bigger/ more busier clubs= I get really nervous. There are so many clients, and i have no idea who to sit with first, and if I choose somebody and start sitting with them, I get really distracted seeing other girls choose"the right" clients= I start making less money( and being convinced of it).
Bare in mind, that up here= guys don't usually tip the stage, or pay for the dancers to sit with them if they don't want any dances.
I found your "Making Money" advice helpful, but is it really all that simple?
Also,(sorry to be asking so much::>>>>)>> What is/ how do you choose good music that will get you noticed be the right people?

PS: ANy girls going to work out in MTL or Toronto?

I'm in the same situation--returning to the game, learning to work bigger clubs. Any advice would be great!

Smiley Re: Advice For "rusty" Dancer

Hey ladies. I just wanted to share some great news. As mentionned earlier in the thread, it has been over a year since I have gone back to work at the SC. Last weekend, I decided that I had been contemplating returning to work for long enough. It was time to get back to business. So, I went to Montreal after work on Friday. I worked on St Catherine's for 2 nights and was the absolute envy of the other 9-5er girls(strippers who work every, or almost every day= and have ultimately lost some enthusiasm).
I primarily emphasised on making eye contact on stage, and also smiling alot. It did not matter that I did not do many pole tricks, because the crowd was mesmirised by my charm.
Well, I guess I am back in the game now, since I am starting to flatter myself(that is a sure sign!lol) But anyways, all I will say is that having a great attitude when you go to work; will definately increase your sales. There is no shortage of strippers (especially here out in Eastern Canada), so having a good time, or making it seem that way, will really make you stand out from the rest. Also, we are so lucky that these days we are connected on sites like this to share insight and advice, as dancers in the past could not.
In closing, control the convo- don't let it get negative, and if you are getting alot of rejects, just take a break. Come back with a smile on your face, and have confidence in yourself. You WILL make $$$ if you focus on advice from Hustly Hut, such as the "no yes or no questions".
Thanks for all the advise girls, Katia is back!!!

If your rusty just remember how you felt when you first started dancing. When you start at your new club get back into the groove of things by playing the "im new to dancing role" managers will be a little more forgiving and they might even be more likely to help you out with finding customers, because they want you to stay since they want to keep getting your tip out. makes sense.... and it works!

Katia! Good for you! When are you going to Montreal to work again? I'll be a travel buddy, if you want. I've heard the money is better there than Ottawa anyway. Which clubs do you work? You're right that our area is flooded with strippers, but that a good attitude can make you bank, even when the club is full of dancers and short on custys. So many of the girls seem to get jaded, pissy, and drunk...it's like a little game where their flagging motivation encourages me to step up my game. Good for you for bringing the sexy back. I'm glad you found your confidence.

    Thanks girls!!,
By the way Molly, I will be going to Montreal again the weekend of the 20th.
However, if we are both going, perhaps we should go to Quebec City.
I went there last year, and it was really good. We worked at a club called Lady Mary Ann; next to the Parliaments. We each made what we make in a hard working week; in 2 and a half days!!It is only 2 extra hours of travel= and we could go to the better club there.
    Let me know!
