    Default Spinach and Organic Shampoo

    I didn't feel like posting twice:p

I have never used an organic shampoo before, but recently one of my new shampoos caused an incredible chemical burn on my scalp and back. It was AWFUL!!

I did some googling and decided to stop using anything on my hair and body that has more chemicals than anything else.

I bought Aubrey Organics shampoo from our local nature store (it is completely natural) and after a week of using it I have the softest, shiniest, healthiest looking and feeling hair. My hair has always itched some and looked oily half a day after shampooing, but this stuff has eliminated that!
I bought some Jojoba Oil for my face and body while I was there too. It rocks!!

About the Spinach, well, I started trying to eat better with this "nature" kick too, and I remembered being told once that lettuce doesn't really have nutritional value. I perused the produce section of the store and spinach was the only thing close to it with a very high percentage of several important vitamins. The best part is that it has no flavor. It tastes just like regular lettuce.

    Well, just wanted to share

I think lettuce is icky! But I loooove spinach!!! I treat myself to a spinach, tomato, black pepper, cheddar cheese, and ranch dressing salad 5 days a week. It tastes great, and is a good way to get iron.

What was the scary shampoo you used?

I'd like to try an organic shampoo myself. Lately I've decided to upgrade the qualityof my shampoos and conditioners.

I also use organic shampoos, conditioners and beauty products. They are SOOOO much better. My hair and skin are so soft without all those chemicals. After doing some research on it awhile ago I realized how important it is to make sure they are CERTIFIED organic or else you are still most likely getting chemicals in it.

I use spinach leaves on my sandwiches instead of lettuce. It's sooooo yummy.

my new hair fix hair powder is vegan. Although it's not a "real" shampoo that cleanses your hair...just a temp fix that soaks up the greasies and gives more body.

LSM, what hair fix powder do you use? I've heard that cornstarch works, but am afraid of it glowing like the talc can. My hair is so brittle right now, I don't dare wash it any more than I have to, but it seems to need it more often since I chopped it all off.

I'm brunette with highlights and the white powders just make my hair look gray no matter how much I brush or fluff my hair. Like you, I don't shampoo very often because it just jacks up my hair even more. I ordered the brown hairfix powder. It takes away that unwashed hair smell and leaves a fresh scent.

I also have a can of Bumble & Bumble aerosol hair powder in brown which does a good job as well. The hairfix smells fresher tho.
