I haven't seen the videos, and I'm not sure what Coke has to do with it, but pretty much all raw pork has worms. It'll give you trichinosis if you eat it. We examined some raw pork under a microscope when I was a kid and I haven't missed it since... I still remember all the worms crawling around in it.
oh, that's nice!![]()
here's a link to one of the videos
ok then.....no more pork chops for me then.....is this the only meat that does this or what?
Ok... thats gross
RAW pork. You wouldn't eat RAW chicken because of salmonella, right?
Just cook it through!![]()
Even still, thinking about the fact that there were maggots in the meat prior to cooking it? No thanks.

MANY animals have worms in them at some point in their lives. If that skeeves you, you might as well be a vegetarian.

Marasmus says, "Oh no, that wasn't gas, it was merely a rectal chuckle."
Marek says, "A friend of mine got punched in the face by a dominatrix stripper about two weeks ago and I thought of you."
Ew. Glad I'm a vegetarian.

I eat meat, yet I won't eat pork. It may taste good, but it is laden with parasites and it has no nutritional value. A waste of eating time![]()

Uh, we humans have numerous parasites as well, like mites in our eyelashes. I once crapped out a small tapeworm after living in Bangladesh.

^^^Hope so.
That previous video was sickening.
Pork = mmm

i havne't eaten pork since I was 6yrs old. I don't miss it at all!

The rest of you've been had. It's a hoax. Did anyone wonder why you don't see these "worms" emerge from the meat? Yek, you know about producing film - surprised you didn't pick up on this.
Gee, guy pours liquid on meat. Cut to meat with white specks on it. What does that prove?

"Is trichinellosis common in the United States?
Infection was once very common and usually caused by ingestion of undercooked pork. However, infection is now relatively rare. During 1997-2001, an average of 12 cases per year were reported. The number of cases has decreased because of legislation prohibiting the feeding of raw-meat garbage to hogs, commercial and home freezing of pork, and the public awareness of the danger of eating raw or undercooked pork products. Cases are less commonly associated with pork products and more often associated with eating raw or undercooked wild game meats."

It's totally false, but it's good to be a Jew anyway!

Real or not, I can't eat pork. I'm grossed out by it. The texture of it, the smell, and the fact the they eat thier own shit grosses me the fuck out even more.

I didn't even have to look it up to realize it was a hoax. I saw it on the home page of break.com about a week or two ago and the second I saw them obviously edit out minutes of the video, I realized it was a joke. Just got to think a bit more critically out there guys!

Once you get it to 160 degrees (regular degrees, not celcius), it's safe. All the little Trichinella spiralis worms are dead.
Funny, how all most religious dietary taboos do actually have a pragmatic basis.
And, pork doesn't have to taste like shoe leather anymore:
Sushi is probably your best bet if you want intestinal parasites, though.Years ago, cookbooks instructed readers to cook pork until it reached a scorching internal temperature of 180 degrees. Back then, the pork chops that landed on our plates were dry and leathery, and we often used lubricants like applesauce or sauerkraut to help get them down. After more careful research, food scientists now tell us that pork is safe to eat after it reaches an internal temperature of 160 degrees.
"He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldrini, the traveler came as a large and moving Torg! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!"

^great, thanks. speaking of sushi and parasites...what is the difference between sashimi grade and regular seafood you buy from the seafood department? I've always wondered. Is it just a better cut of meat or what?

^It's quality not cut.
Sushi grade implies it is safe to eat raw. Others are not. Or at least it isn't recommended.

that's what I thought but wasn't really sure. I had inquired on a recipe conference on campus about where to get sushi grade locally and some chick replied all enthusiastically that she just used regular fish from the freezer department. *hurl* I didn't have the heart to tell her how gross that sounded to me not to mention how aesthetically unappealing.
