Hello Ladies!
What about if everyone posted their skincare regimen (day,night,products,frequency,...).
I am having problems with my skin right now and I need some ideas about products.
Thanks a lot!
I scrub with salt
moisturize with olay Definity in the day time and Nivea in the nightime..
I have all sorts of masks that I use when I am feeling particularly eager to shine..
Basically I just moisturize many times throughout the day.
I have a few spf lotions I will use when I go out, but I just like to make sure that my skin isn't flaky or dry and lotioning up through the day really helps.
Please don't lick me, it tickles..
what's your skin prob?
there might be thread about it...
Please don't lick me, it tickles..
I wash with Nivea Gentle Cleasing Cream and sometimes follow with their gentle toner (non-alcohol) and I've been using a L'Oreal anti-aging moisturizer.
I'm wondering too, what exactly you're needing to change up.....people could probably be more helpful if they had a better idea of what problem you might be dealing with.

Oil cleansing method + exfoliate with a nylon mesh cloth + occasional salicylic acid treatment + SPF + mineral makeup (I use everyday minerals) = my skin looks completely amazing now, better than it ever has.
We should also post our skin type when posting our regimen. I'm on the lookout for a new system for oily/acne prone skin. I might purchase the Murad system, anyone tried it??
Well, my skin has always been very oily, big pores and a lot of blackheads (nose, chin) but I've been on Accutane for almost a month now and it's not oily anymore. It became kinda dry and flaky so I don't know what to do. I try to moisturize but it doesn't seem like it's working. When I touch my face it's not smooth anymore (I did exfoliate but still...). Anyone have advice for me? Thanks!
P.S: The blackheads are still there![]()
I don't have personal experience with accutane, but I know a lot of that stuff has a tendency to dry you out. Personally, I would experiement with different cleansers and moisturizers.
You obviously want cleanser that is alcohol free and that goes on light. I LOVE the nivea stuff I use b/c it does not dry out my skin at all (most other stuff does and it gets all weird and flaky). Check them out, they're not expensive. Here's the face wash:

Here's the alcohol free toner....very light AND it's moisturizing without feeling greasy.

I've heard good things about a moisturizer brand called "Kiss My Face" - they're supposed to have good oil-free options.

I also am obsessed with Biore Ultra Pore Strips. I don't get blackheads, but I have clogged pores on my nose and I use Pore Strips like once a week. The ones I use has tea tree oil and witch hazel and they kinda tingle a bit. They're refreshing.

**I've heard they're blackhead cleansing cream works good. Here's a link to that too:http://www.drugstore.com/products/pr...-PLST-0-SEARCH

have you tried to get advice from other places online? I know that when I have questions like that I just use google or yahoo and sites where people have experienced my question will pop up.
I don't know anything about accutane except that it does tend to dry you out at first. I would suggest deep moisutrizing before you sleep each night and get a satin pillowcase, cotton pillowcases tend to remove the oils from your face and dry it out while you are sleeping.
You could also use olive oil as a moisturizer, that really helps me during dry winters.
I have mixed skin that can go all oily one day and dry the next.

gypsy_girlchild made a great recommendation - satin pillowcase!! That helps with your hair too. It's been brought up here before....it's good for your skin and hair, so do a search on that.

Dude, after you wash your face, apply QUEEN HELENE MINT JULEUP and make sure you sleep in it. It's wonderful for large pores and acne prone skin. My younger sister suffered very bad from breakouts. I washed her face, applied the mask to her face, and chest and made her sleep in it. I promise after the first application, her pimples shrank significantly, her blackheads were gone. And that is after just one night of sleeping in it!!! Try it, you'll have great results
Some Douchebag: "[Pimp C] 12:43 am: its true we got to stick together the black people on SW CK you is teh condoleeza of SW"

When my skin was oily, I used QUEEN HELENE MINT JULEUP but now that it's dry I'm afaraid to use it and ending up with more dry skin![]()
Man, I feel like such a LAZY ASS for "dreading" my skincare routine lol. I have oil/acne prone skin but since I've been doing this I've had no problems. I do this once in the morning and again before bed.
Remove eye makeup with Neutrogena eye makeup remover
Wash with Clinique bar soap for oily skin (exfoliate once a week)
Dry my face with a towel
Apply Aveeno Clear Complexion Moisturizer

Because there ain't no tits on the radio

If you really have persistent acne, try altering your diet. This is mine:
*I know I should drink lots of water, but I don't. Sue me.
*I eat NO refined (white) flour and very little sugar. I also limit my fruit intake and limit my grains to one serving of whole grains every day or even every 2-3 days. This leaves me with mostly lean protein, vegetables, and dairy. Oh, yeah. Avoid hydrogenated fats, too. They are the "bad" fats that hurt your body in many ways.
*As far as dairy goes, I drink Soy milk, and I do eat a lot of low-fat yogurt and reduced-fat cheese. I tied whey protein, but that tore up my face so I had to quit it.
*Some people claim eliminating red meat helps their acne. I am a vegetarian, so my protein involves various soy products, beans, and eggs, mostly. ANd nuts.
*For enlarged pores, reduce or eliminate coffee from your diet. (Tea will provide you with a little caffeine, but wont make your pores open up like the grand canyon) Three or 4 of us on SW tried this last summer and had amazing results. I am trying it again, but when I have to get up at 6 to get my kiddo on the bus, it is not so easy!
As far as products go:
Morning:
-Dove sensitive skin beauty bar or Burt's bees cleanser, THEN Acne-free benzol peroxide cleanser (which for some reason seems to help more than anything else). I let the BP cleanser sit on my skin while I brush my teeth.
-Witch hazel toner
-Nichole Miller vitamin serum (the call it something long and fancy, but that's what it is) which helps protect my skin form the environment ans is also SLOWLY reversing my acne scars
-Nichole Miller moisturizer SPF15 or Melaleuca Inc. Sunblock SPF 30
-Physician Formula cover tox 10 for eye circles and wrinkles
-Acnomel acne cream with sulfur (spot treatment)
Evening:
-Same Cleansers
-Olive oil to remove eye makeup
-Which hazel or Acne Free toner
-Acne Free benzol peroxide lotion
-Nichole Miller Timeless anti-aging serum
-Eye cream
-Acne free benzol peroxide/salicilic acid spot treatment gel
-A couple times a week, I stop after the toner and do the queen helene mask.
The Nichole Miller products come from Melaleuca INternational (www.melaleuca.com) and you have to be a member there to order anything. My skin is so shitty that I NEED their products and gladly pay for them. Their serums, sunblock, and moisturizers are the only brand I have ever found that does not break me out. I have a bunch of chemical sensitivities, and their cleaning products are the only ones we can use in the bathroom, or I will get blisters on my feet.
Everything else comes from the drugstore.
Hope that helps.

Im the same way, im a guy though.
Heres some tips ( i do this stuff)
1. Drink plenty of water (6-8 glasses a day)
2. Change pillow cases every 2 days
3. Dont touch your face unless your hands have been properly washed with soap
4. Avoid stressing out
5. If your skin is oily throughout the day, use clean and clear oil absorbing sheets. (i know mine is)
6. Avoid being the one to fry foods, the steam pollutes your face (wash right after if you do)
7. Wash your face no more than 3 times a day
8. Make sure the make up or acne products you use are non comedogenic (wont clog pores)
*In my experience, getting a facial w/extractions of my blackheads/whiteheads worked the best but it was getting expensive. Maybe once every 3 weeks or so would be idea but if you can afford it, i highly suggest the facial w/extractions.
Good Luck to you!
Ive been using the Murad system for a while, it works pretty good and I would suggest anyone get it if they want to try it out. You can buy it at www.sephora.com.
my skin care regimein is for acne skin and it has cleared my face up consiradlal it is aveeno's active natural systme i use the face wash the spot treatment and the mositizer twice daily its great.

I have tried almost everything to get rid of my acne that always comes up around my chin and on the sides of my face. I have had the best luck with this stuff, though.

There's also a 2-3 times a week treatment that goes with this, but I haven't even tried that part and have had great results.
http://www.walgreens.com/store/produ...id=prod1631403
I use a Dove moisturizer at night after putting on the L'Oreal stuff, and I have some Avon SPF 15 daytime moisturizer that I use before I put my make-up on. I haven't had any issues with clogged pores from the Dove or Avon stuff either.

I just finished my course of Accutane, thank goodness. Anyway, you have to be careful on what you put on your face since you're on that. As for cleanser, use a gentle soap like Cetaphil for all skin types or sensitive skin...so you wont get super dry. At night I put on Jojoba oil or vitamin E all over my face. You should also take vitamin E & fish oil caps while on Accutane. And during the day moisturize with a face cream that contains Vitamin K.. that helps fade the red marks quicker.
P.S. If you shed alot of hair like I did(still am), take biotin pills 2x a day.

I'm so bad with skincare products. But I do things internally like fish oil and a clean diet as much as I can.
