Although I'm retired (for now? Not sure), I'll fill this out for my home club I used to work at:

    * What's different and unique about your club?

The stages were nice and big, with pretty "glass" doors that you could enter from. The side stage was different, it was like a cage.

    * How does your club bring business in?

Advertising in the newspaper, word of mouth, free cover.
    * What's are your cover charge, drink, dance and VIP prices?

Free cover, drinks are about $6-$8 (liquor?) floor lapdances were $5, VIP dances were $10.

    * What weekly specials like amateur or "two for one" night does your club have?

They might have had 2-for-1, but I never saw it. No amatuer night either; you just basically filled out a very basic application, the management required you to have a legal t-bar and stripper shoes to work (no street shoes until you make money, you need them before you can work), and then you go to work.
    * Why do you work there?

I worked there because it was a laid back atmosphere, nice management and relatively drama free girls. I also like the layout of the club and the easy dance sell.

I think my club is pretty much like any other in NC
    • How does your club bring business in?
We have $2 Fridays where any drink is $2, be it liquor or beer
    • What's are your cover charge, drink, dance and VIP prices?
Cover is free during the day with a membership and $5 without.
    At night it's $5 with and $10 without if you're over 21, it's $25 if you're under.
Drinks prices range from $2-$5.25 for beer and $4-$8.50 for liquor.
Table dances during the day are $5 per song, at night they are $10.
    VIP's are $25 per song.
    • What weekly specials like amateur or "two for one" night does your club have?
Fridays are $2 drink specials, Tuesdays we have jello wrestling, and on Friday and Saturday we stay open until 6am.
    • Why do you work there?
All of the girls get along (for the most part) and we have a very laid back atmosphere. I've found that you don't get that in most clubs.
*I know the dance prices seem really cheap but that's pretty much the rate in North Carolina.

    * What's different and unique about your club?
Home Club: It has been around for what seems forever. The girls aren't too catty or bitchy towards each other. I don't know what makes it unique quite honestly... it is just a club I am working within.

Darwin: It is the only proper strip club in town. The other one isn't really a strip club.. just a nightclub with strippers and the standards aren't as 'high' in re dancers. It's a very nice classy club.

    * How does your club bring business in?
Home Club: Door Girls mainly. Most of the people that are within the club have just wandered in due to them "enticing" them in whilst they were wondering around the street.

Darwin: Constantly rotating girls. Some regulars like me go back as often as we possibly can and it always seems to attract new girls. Advertising thru the pub shows the dancers are paid to do as part of the contract. Advertising thru other mediums.

    * What's are your cover charge, drink, dance and VIP prices?
Home Club: Cover charge can be non existant some nights or a nominal charge determined by the front door reception. The front door receptionist does try to sell "INTRO" dances prior to the patron entering the premises for $20-30. Drinks are standard strip club prices. Dances are time-based: $55 10 min, $90 20 min, $120 half hour, $200 hour (VIP). VIP is the hour booking @ $200.

Darwin: Cover charge can be non existant for members or upwards to $40. Yet usually around the $10-20 mark. There is a strict dress code: collared shirt, long pants and covered shoes or else no go. Business has been lost due to one person in the group not meeting the dress code. Dance prices are time-based once again... $60 is usual option people choose (3 songs) or even a 'bath show' for $100. There is no VIP.

    * What weekly specials like amateur or "two for one" night does your club have?
Home Club: The INTRO dance you are offered only at the door prior to entry (not withing the club) could be classed as a special. Same with the $100 - (20 min) lap dance and two free drinks - option also sold at the door prior to entry. No amateur nights (yay!). No "two for one" specials.

Darwin: Free entry for members. Free lap dance on your birthday for members. Otherwise nothing much else. Any promotions that they do run is in regards to the Beehive Lounge (the nightclub).

    * Why do you work there?
Home Club: No other viable options locally and I'm not willing to drive an hour to and from work (go to work in Brisbane) whereas I can walk to/from work.

Darwin: Guaranteed money each week, doing feature type of shows (themed with props), return airfare paid, accomodation provided, treated well and now to catch up with friends (since I went there so often I made a few friends). It can be quite a fun contract to do as well as lucrative. A nice break from home.

This is about Sinn, one of the clubs I work at here in PHX.

    * During day and mid shifts this club has a very laid back atmosphere which I really like. I also dig the plush red velvet chairs, the red velvet couches against the walls (great for doing dances!!!), and the candle lit tables. It has a nice big stage with 3 poles, the center one being a spinning one. The staff and the girls are great. At one point this club had gotten pretty ghetto, but the management who took it over 8 months ago are working on making it a gentlemens club again.

    * Advertising! Theres a local publication here called Playtime, which is like a playboy equivalent of the southwest, which Sinn advertises in.

    * Cover charge??? Drinks start at $4.25 I believe. Table dances are $10.00 each. In the champagne room or v.i.p., they're $20.00 plus an admission fee for v.i.p.

    * Theres two for one drink specials every day from 2-6, and ameteur night is every Tuesday at 11pm. The winner takes home $250.00.

    * I work there because I feel like it's a low stress envirornment. It doesn't get as much traffic as some other clubs do, but I still manage to do well for myself here.

Rick's Cabaret has no poles and it's the best club in New Orleans.

That's awesome. Management is more important than anything (except money) and a lot of girls don't understand the headaches we go through to pull this all together.

And do they fight the employees when they are refused?

    my club:
    * What's your club's "gimmick"
    >upscale topless gentleman's club

    * What's different and unique about your club?
    >you get to keep all the money from lap dances and 90% of the VIP money. also a girl can do contact topless dances OR no contact nude air dances.

    * How does your club bring business in?
    >heh, they are working on this. mostly, people drive by, see us, and come in. we are right by the stadiums so all sporting events mean customers, and they have started advertising. they will have features thru the end of the month but they finally realize that it's not bringing in the kind of money they want it to. so, they are using that money and spending it on more advertising.

    * What's are your cover charge, drink, dance and VIP prices?
    >cover is $10 weeknights, $20 fri and sats after 9pm. drink prices are high, $4 for water, $4.50 beers, $6+ drinks. dances are $20, VIP is 3 songs/$100, half hour/$200.

    * What weekly specials like amateur or "two for one" night does your club have?
    >$2 tuesdays: $2 admission, $2 beers, 2-4-1 lap dances during a 20 minutes period.

    * Why do you work there?
    >management is good, earning potential is high for a hustler, and i've been there since it opened a year and 2 months ago. plus i love the people i work with.

    Love it!

I will let that one go as you are American and don't "know" Darwin.

Darwin is too laid back and just plain too hot and humid (during the wet season at least) to fight the bouncer.

Whenever I have been waiting outside the club for a cab to go back to the Dancer Accommodation .... the people that got turned away would just go home or elsewhere.

That's what Darwin is like. They aren't too fussed generally.

It's only the real drunkards who might put up a fight and even if they had the right dress requirments wouldn't be let in due to being too intoxicated.

BTW, the club did this not thru their own choice it was a condition of the Liquior License (The Liquor Licensing Commission is in charge of the Adult Entertainment Permits/Licenses for clubs) when they originally applied to open the club.
