    Default Dancing in Michigan

I started dancing down south. I loved dancing down south, the big clubs
and fake living room vip areas. Is there any clubs at all that aren't fully
nude in Michigan that are equal to the clubs I was working in.

I seriously need a change of scenery, and info would be appreciated.

    Thanks

You don't want to dance here. I'll just start off by saying that.....this is going to be a long response....

First of all, the clubs I am familiar with are all in the metro Detroit area. To dance in Detroit you have to get a dance card, which costs a few hundred bucks. And it is a matter of public information too, btw. To dance outside of detroit, in Dearborn, Inkster, or Southgate, you don't need a card. They are all topless, not nude. (except for a few hole-in-the-wall ones).

Contact is EXTREMELY high. Breast touching is the norm. Unofortunately, same goes with the nipple suckers. (EW). They are going to try and touch your crotch, finger you, everything. It's like being a constant police officer when giving a dance. If you don't allow them to bend the rules, you make no money. Why? Because every single girl does it. AND because everything is so rediculously slow, girls are allowing sex, etc. b/c they are desperate. So then word gets around and every guy thinks you're a prostitute. I am one of the better looking dancers, and I find it extremely difficult to walk out with 200 dollars because I don't allow the extras.

Also, the economy in this area is HORRIBLE. This area used to be the "motorcity capital of the world." Everything and everybody is here basically because of the auto industry. Now that that the big three are doing bad, EVERYTHING is doing bad here. Everybody is laid off. People are not spending money. Everyone is on unemployment if they still "have" a job. And finally, people are not spending any money at the strip clubs when they can go and have their dollar draft beers at a regular bar.

It's a shame, because we have some beautiful clubs here. The Pantheion, the Flight Club, and the Colliseum are all top notch. Bt's is nice, and so is Subi's. Not to be gloom and doom, but you'd probably make more money bartending than dancing.

    Ugh.
I'd grab my trumpet and I'd do a stripper sound, like the old Louis Armstrong, real raspy. And the people would go nuts! Then I knew that the sexual, sensual, guttural sound, that throbbing sound, is where it's at.

I second pretty much everything Bliss says. I do have really awesome days, but it's always because of regulars.

They are right. The last time I worked in Detroit I was disgusted by how high contact has gotten. And the money is not good enough to be worth it.

Florida was the same way, I work up north so the money isn't terrible but
if you "have to be an extra girl" to make over 200 usd a night it's a waste
    of a drive.

If I were to dance in Michigan right now, I'd work at Trumpps or Bouzouki. Trumpps has always kept the contact fairly low, but I don't know if that has changed.

How far up north are you working? I would recomend omars if you are to travel south. It is a fun club that isn't so corporate.

I have a friend who lives in Lansing. He has already offered for me to
stay with him if I wanted to check out the clubs there. Thanks for
the positive info, I was starting to wonder if there was any clubs
left in Michigan that weren't uber full contact. I had no idea that
it had become a requirement to make money in Michigan
clubs down state that you be an extra girl.

Interesting posts. I sent a PM to a couple posters on here but figured adding my questions to the thread might provide a few more answers.

In a nutshell, I am helping my friend try to find a club to dance at for awhile in the area. She has danced in the past and is in a position where she needs to make some cash on the side to help her get through classes she is taking.
In the past she has danced in Detroit clubs that required a license. She has a job lined up after this class is over so she is only looking to dance on the side for a little while. Basically she is looking for a club that does not require a license and is not a complete craphole/whorehouse where if you're not doing extras you're making zero.

I understand everything discussed here. The economy sucks in Michigan, people are not spending the money like they used to, the level of contact expected by guys here is ridiculous (yes I am a male but have never been into going to strip clubs because of the way so many guys act).
Basically, she is someone with a good head on her shoulders, who knows her boundaries, absolutely will not do "extras" and is not money-greedy so she'd be happy taking home $100 a night if that's all she gets. She will not lower her standards to make the extra money so if others are making 400-500 for doing extras and she is making 100 she is OK with that.

I know this is probably a stupid question given the opinions expressed on here about dancing in this area but any suggestions for the best places for her to try? She was stopping into BT's this evening and from checking online it looks like her choices are going to be down to Inkster, Dearborn or Southgate if she does not want to get a license. I'm thinking one of the Dearborn clubs is the best bet or Subi's? She has considered Henry VIII in Inkster ( NOT the seeming house of prostitution that is Henry's South) also.

ANY insight or opinions you can give are appreciated!!

I say get the license and work somewhere in Detroit. It would be worth it. I would not work at any Henry's, ever. Dearborn sucks and is higher contact for less money. You can definitely make money without extras, but there's a lot to compete with.

Well it sounds like that may be what she does. She stopped in at three clubs in the city and all said they'd hire her. I know there won't be an issue with people wanting to hire her, she is a beautiful female, her biggest issues are the clubs are at least semi-clean (she knows just about every area club will have some level of girls offering extras, she just doesn't want a Henry's South level situation), have a good reputation with the dancers (treat them decently) and it's a place she can work as much or as little a week as needed with some flexibility.

Thanks for the advice! Like I said she is the type who won't lower her standards for some guy wanting an HJ in a VIP room, if she walks out with $100 on a night she looks at it as $100 she didn't have. If she walks out with a few hundred she's happy. So no worries there, I think she'll be fine once she finds a club she's comfortable with. Thanks for your help.

Subi's would be a safe bet IMO, no license, clean, no schedule.

Have heard a few good things about Subi's and Pantheion and have passed the info along. Does anyone have an opinion or experience at Flight Club? Although you don't need a license to work there I've always been under the impression the level of contact expected there is extremely high. She's still unsure of her decision but has a number of places willing to hire her and is supposed to be meeting with someone tomorrow regarding working at Flight Club. Again, even if there were "extras" all around you doesn't mean you'd be doing them if you're a clean dancer but I don't want her to go to a place she'll be wasting her time in not making any money plus I understand their payout is high too. I guess the question is given the fact she is not an "extras" dancer and is only looking to go in 2 nights or so a week, is Flight Club a waste of time? I get the feeling she could take home more at a club like Subi's or Pantheion.

Again, appreciate the replies. It's getting down to crunch time for her to make a decision, see how it pans out and go from there. There is no such thing as the "perfect club", especially in Michigan, so hopefully she makes a choice she can live with.

I think she would make more at Flight Club than at Pantheion or Subis. She will just have to put up with a lot more shit. The best thing for her to do is bite the bullet and work in a few of the places she is considering. If she hates it, she doesn't have to go back and can try out the next place.
