    Default About how long?

I just started my lunges/ squat/ leg raise thing(on the side, don't know what this is called), did about 100 of each after my aerobics class, with 10 lb weights for the squats and lunges. How long will it be before I start to see results.

I ask because I immediately ran to the mirror and took off my pants after to see if it had changed at all. Yes, I am a dork, and very impatient.

LOL! I do this too! Sometimes you do *notice* a difference (although temporary) due to muscle tension and water loss from sweating.

Are you burning or getting sore during and post workout? If not jack, up the weights even if your doing less repetitions. If your BMI and bodyfat % is on target, you should see noticeable results within 5-6 sessions. So yeah, like SC0101 said above, generally about 2 weeks.

How often should I do 'em. Like every day for the first two or three weeks, every other day, 5 days a week, what?

To build muscle you do have to have off days so they can repair themselves. I'd say maybe 3 times a week, intense training with weights.

^^^ditto. If you take a 7 day week, you can actually train 3 X a week with two rest days in between. Example: Train on Monday; Rest on Tues, Wed; Train Thursday, Rest on Friday, Saturday; Train on Sunday; Rest on Monday, Tuesday, etc. Your schedule will be bi-weekly rotating.

I am a little bit concerned about doing that many reps with the 10lb weights. It might fuck up your knees. In any case, you probably know, make sure you always keep your knees directly over your toes and when using weights don't bend more than 90 degrees.
