    Default laryngitis?

I have lost my voice, well its back now but it sounds very husky. I lost it completely over the weekend and I still had to work coz of grand prix and I really strained to talk. Other than that my throat is not sore or anything.

Can the doctor do anything for it if it's laryngitis?

Nope. If it's not viral, it is because you strained to talk and caused some irritation and swelling in your vocal cords. Try to rest your voice as much as possible. Hot tea might make your throat feel better, but won't do anything for your vocal cords unless you are trying to drown yourself by pouring it directly down your trachea.

it's usually a viral infection... so in a word... nuh.

    thou shalt not speak
thou shalt not clear thy throat
    thou shalt steam thy cords

sounds like you've just irritated the bejesus out of your little cords. time to start writing on a pad to people.
