    Best Water Filter

I have a Brita filter that is attached to my faucet. I haven't changed the dam filter in forever, because the maintence man in my building put it on to tight (CK makes mental note to call and tell him to install new filter) Anywho, I was wondering if there was a better filter out on the market besides Brita? I HATE drinking water unless its flavored. But when I got the Brita, I was able to drink it.

So does anyone have a favorite filter?

I have the DuPont Deluxe Dual Filter Pitcher. I love it. We have horrid water here. Like really bad. And this makes it so, so, SOOOO much better.

I love Reverse Osmosis water. My ex bf got me hooked on it and now I can't drink anything else. RO systems are pretty expensive for a house though, so I just buy it at the grocery store.

I checked ConsumerReports.org. The Brita Classic OB01 (pitcher) is the most effective out of those tested for removing off-tastes.

I have brita, but the pitcher kind. I notice it's more effective than the tap ones, possibly because it takes longer to run through.

The Brita pitcher works well for me. Plus I love cold water so it is absolutely essential that it is in the fridge. There's no way I'd be able to drink the water from the tap, filtered or not.

We were using the Pur faucet filter and then the plastic cracked and water started spraying everywhere.
Then I went and got the Brita Ultramax because it holds a lot more than the regular pitcher and at first it tasted a little plastic-y. Now it's fine.

Does anyone know if there is a pitcher or filtration system that gets rid of fluoride? My bf wants to know.

I have one hooked up to the facet, it's from HSN.com. I like it b/c it lasts for around 3 yrs. I think it costs around $50.00.
