    Default Feature dancers

After reading a thread in Hustle Hut, I got curious as to why so many customers stay away from feature dancer nights, at least this is what I have noticed. Contrary to what people would think, we weren't that busy whenever a feature was there.
Is it because features don't really give you the personal service you look for in your favorite dancers? Is it because their dances are more expensive?

A lot of features don't offer dances. They do their stage sets, then sell their swag. For those gals, I'd assume that yes... it's because there is no lapdancey goodness for the customers. Dunno, otherwise.

I have no interest in features. I'm more into LTR's. Speaking hypothetically since my club doesnt "feature" features, why would I pay an exorbitant cover or drink prices higher than the already inflated ones? I'll just wait till shes moves on and then get back to business as usual.

I am a "regular" type of customer. I generally go for the company of a few specific dancers. Feature dancers don't interest me, plus I assume that there will be a significantly larger number of "one time" customers in on those nights (I prefer quieter nights). I can't be sure though as I have never been in on a "feature" dancer night.

Most feature acts aren't all that interesting. Over at Crazy Horse Too (Phila.), they have a feature dancer every week, I think it's Wednesday through Saturday. Twenty bucks at the door. That's just too steep a price when I don't even think that I'm going to be interested in the show.

If I was only going there once every six months, I might be okay with it. I go to Delilah's nearly every day, if I can. I bought a membership at Delilah's and the Gold Club and got one of the "black" card memberships at Oasis because, with the frequency that I got to these places, I'd be out a few thousand dollars a year on admission fees.

I prefer the Girl Next Door look for dancers. When I've been to clubs that have features, I've found the regular dancers to be much more interesting and fun.

I suspect the frat boys would feel differently about it, though.

Here was a thread EE posted on blue last month. It more or less applies to this subject.

    http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?t=82148

There are two basic reasons men go to strip clubs. One is titilation, the other in various forms is a sort of companionship, and while they're not mutally exclusive by any means, most customers are looking primarily for one or the other.

Most of the "tittilation" crowd tends to be younger, rowdier, and a more casual type of customer. They usually relegate themselves to watching/tipping the stage shows, perhaps having a dance or two if they can afford it. They're not bringing $300 to spend in an evening, but they are plentiful. When they see that a local club is booking a feature, its usually an incentive to go in.

The "companionship" crowd OTOH are more your "regular" customers. They want a completely opposite environment free of noise and distractions. They want peace and quiet so they can enjoy time with their ATF. They don't neccesarily despise features, but when one is in the club, all those young broke guys are present, and it changes the mood of the place. On top of that, they're expected to pay for the very distraction they don't want there with an inflated cover charge. When they see their club has booked a feature, its an incentive to put off the trip until next week.

I (and likely most of the guys here) clearly fit into the "companionship" group. I go on Tuesday nights, and generally despise weekend crowds, feature or not. One of the things that I like about my home club is that they never book them. I don't hate features, in fact, I can enjoy their shows, or even pony up for an 8x10 or Polaroid, if I didn't come to the club specifically to see a certain house girl.

But lets face it, I'm not going to drop $300 in a club because they booked a feature. That and a lot of these gals anymore seem to have the same cookie cutter names and same 182 magazine/video credits. I don't read/watch porn so I'm none the wiser on that sort of thing.

Depsite that, if say Cally, Ginger or another SW'er were passing through, I'd try to stop in and say hi. Of course, that would have more to do with enjoying their contributions here than with what they do on stage.

You know, I thought of you after I left that post, and I am sure that if I were lucky enough to be in a club where you were working I would give you my 100% attention.

See, you are the type of customer I look for, which is why I like to work during the week. It seems like clubs that have more of a 'companionship' atmosphere really do themselves a disservice by booking features. I guess they are more suited to busier clubs with young crowds.

Thanks for answering my questions everyone...I think I have a much better understanding now.

When I work in American clubs with features, I invariably get taken to VIP during the feature show by a customer saying something like "let's get away from this crap". Probably because a customer who's into my type won't be into most American feature types (gingerlee excepted! Most that I've seen are silicone queens though, and obviously a custy who's into me isn't into that).

My point being, the type of custy who likes girl next door types usually won't be into features, and vice versa.

    Feature costumes for sale!
