Hey, Marilyn Monroe had a nose job and a chin implant. Look what it did for her.![]()

Geez, I did not expect to get this much criticism especially from this site, afterall aren't we in a line work where judgement is constantly passed on us. Let me clarify, my reasons for wanting plastic surgery goes beyond just tot make more money, there's definitely more. I could write pages and pages of my background and experiences, but honestly I don't have that kind of patience. I stated a long list of surgical procedures I wanted done, but of course I had no intention of getting them done all at once, no surgeon in their right mind would even perform that much surgery at once. Those are procedures that I've considered and that does not even meaning that I would acutually go through with all of them.
My goal for this thread was to hear the experiences of anyone who's had surgery in a different country. I've done my research, I just want to hear from other ladies who've had the experience.

Me have cosmetic surgery! THAT will be the day! No. I'm kinda anti CS to ever have it done. I mention Thailand as mermaidnz originally went there and it really did seem to a viable option.
Plus I've met a few other dancers (Aussie) that have gone over there with good results. You could send her a PM about her Thailand CS experience.

100% agreed! Its sickening. Everytime somebody asks about something these days, they get beat in the damn head!!!!
She asked about doing it abroad! Stop threadjacking!
p.s. I had my boobs done in the Philipines: www.belomed.com I know you're not interested in boobs, but check out the site for other procedures, my doc's(female) work is fantastic.

College dancer you’re probably better off researching a plastic surgery board for in the information you seek. You’re not going to get much info here regarding the procedures you require. Be careful about getting buttocks augmentation in Venezuela though. How about Brazil?
Yea agreed hun, however you know d*mn well if one of the "more popular" members had asked the samething most of the responses would have been a lot different.
Anyway I agree enough of the thread-hijacking![]()
I am also interested in surgery abroad to cut costs. I have had a rhinoplasty, and it was the best thing I've ever done. After my surgeries, BA as well, my self-confidence increased. I feel that if something is wrong, fix it. There are so many women that have had procedures done. Go into any good plastic surgeon's office- the employees as well as customers are usually very attractive. If you have the funds, go for it!
From a cost and recuperation perspective, it's not such a bad idea, with your qualified plastic surgeon's approval first, of course, to undergo multiple procedures at once.
Elective plastic surgery can be had at excellent cost in South America - in Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela, and Colombia in particular, by highly skilled and reputable surgeons. You have a distinct advantage if you speak Spanish and/or Portuguese, as you need to make sure that you've verified both your surgeon and anesthesiologist with their respective organizations by country. You also must remember that recuperation time is critical. Most surgeons will not allow you to fly for at least two weeks post-procedure because of the risk of DVT.
There are many concierge services out there that facilitate cosmetic surgery in South America. Some are more reputable than others. Some are very disreputable. For more research on plastic surgery abroad, I highly recommend this website:
You'll get all the info you need there, from how to verify your surgeon, to success stories, to horror stories (yes, they happen). It's free, and no, I have no financial stake in the site.

there's also this site: www.internationalsurgery.com/
this has a lot on venezuala.

My friend got her first implants done in Columbia because thats where she is from but they were awesome and she didnt have any complaints. The only reason she got them redone was because it was about time to have them redone and she got saline implants when she moved to the US.
I think its a good idea to go abroad because in certain countries cosmetic surgery is done more often and Ive seen plenty of good results. There are always going to be people trying to tell you not to get surgery but its your body and you ultimately know whats right for you.
Ive had my nose done and even though its not 100% how I want it its vastly improved from before and I feel much more confident about everything. Ive wanted my nose done ever since I was a vain little 12 year old and plastic surgery is common in my family so I didnt think much of it. Good luck and tell us what you decide.

I had my boobs done in Paris, France. www.crpce.com Highly skilled surgeon, excellent clinic. As long as you are going to a country with highly credentialed surgeons, you're probably okay. Although it wouldnt hurt to know/be familiar with the language of the host country. I speak French fluently so there were no issues in that regard.
