    Arrow Weird question about milk

So, I try to veer away from drinking milk too often because I have a moderate amount of intolerance to it. However, it still sits in our fridge for recipes, etc. Well the other night, I kept waking up and just chugging milk....what was once a 4L jug is now about 1.5 in just over 1 day!! I don't even like the taste of it...and I know it's really not that great but I am wondering what would make me do that.
Do you think it is my body crying out for calcium? This has happened in the past a few times.
    Thanks

MAybe you had a thirst for it but I don't think it's yur body crying for it. Maybe you can have calcium pills. I have to cause I have IBS and LI and it's horrible if I have any type of dairy so I take calcium suppliments, try that and see how it goes.

It's just so weird to consume so much at once. Maybe it is a blood sugar thing?

Did you eat a lot of sodium that day?

here's a scientific explanation about why sodium and calcium go together, if you're feeling nerdy.

    or maybe Vitamin D?

Hmmm maybe.....it's probably one of those unsolved mysteries. I was under a lot of stress that day too so maybe it has something to do with acid levels or something. All I know is I am all bloated and can't toot or poop!! Hahah sorry TMI.

Cow's milk is full of crap that is really bad for us. Many people are "addicted" to cows milk because of the all the chemicals and drugs that are pumped in to cows to keep them producing more and more.

Soy Milk isn't so great for women. I'm not a big fan of the taste either. I LOVE Vanilla Almond Milk though. It's so tasty.

Here's a little tid bit from
"Corporate-owned factories where cows are warehoused in huge sheds and treated like milk machines have replaced most small family farms. With genetic manipulation and intensive production technologies, it is common for modern dairy cows to produce 100 pounds of milk a day— 10 times more than they would produce in nature. To keep milk production as high as possible, farmers artificially inseminate cows every year. Growth hormones and unnatural milking schedules cause dairy cows' udders to become painful and so heavy that they sometimes drag on the ground, resulting in frequent infections and overuse of antibiotics. Cows— like all mammals— make milk to feed their own babies— not humans."

I also like the website. This letter is really infomative. If you skip down to "What is Milk?"...that's where all main points are, IMO.

Its quite common to crave foods that you have an intollerance to for some reason. Infact sometimes the fact that you crave something is a good indicator that you may be allergic or intollerant to it.
You could probably follow this up if you research allergies.
