    Default vampire theme songs

Ok I want to do a vampire themed feature show at my club. It needs to be approx 10min and need a mix of slow and faster songs.

I already had some suggestions in another forum about some vampire songs but I need some more suggestions please!
It doesn't have to be specifically about vampires but just some songs that are good for the theme.

I think I will use a ramstein song called "du hast" as I like the beat and also I'm thinking of a Korn song but I can't remember the name of it.
I don't have any ideas for the slow part.

    Thanks

I have a vampire outfit and I dance to Judas Priest's "A Touch of Evil" and Rob Zombie's "Living Dead Girl." My other Halloweenish songs are AC/DC's "Hell's Bells" and a few more that wouldn't really fit a vampire.

I have the best ever female vocals vampire song, called "When the Lights Go Down", sung on a demo CD by a very talented techno singer named Sunny. As far as I know it's not available, I just happened to be in the record store when her manager/whatever brought a few by--Lucky me!

I need to get it copied onto my computer and so make it available on Soulseek.

If you like the sultry female vocals, you would love this one. There's definitely a lot to choose from already, though.

"I'm a Vampire" by Future Bible Heroes would be good.

I think that Korn song your thinking of is "Forsaken". It from the Queen of the Damned soundtrack.

Living Dead girl is an EXCELLENT stripping song - so sleazy and sexy - see if you can track down the "Subliminal Seduction Mix" from Zombie's 'American Made Music to Strip By' remix CD. Also on that CD is "Spookshow Baby (Black Leather Cat Suit Mix)" which was remixed by Rammstein so it has that "du hast" kinda sound to it as well.

Also on the Queen of the Damned Soundtrack is "Slept So Long" by Jay Gordon which has a real Egyptian sound and a slow and sexy vibe - would be excellent for a vampire themed show.

Good luck! Let us know how it goes!

Yeah I almost always use the American Made Music remixes instead of the originals. Sinia, if you haven't heard Supersexy Swingin' Sounds, you need to go get it, immediately, lol...

Queen of the Damned packs more punch than almost any other CD I have, out of thousands of the things. Especially if you are into the vampire thing like I am. What's really cool is that all the musicians who collaborated on that CD read the book, and were really involved in the creative process in a non-egotistical way (as far as I could tell from watching the bit on the DVD about making the soundtrack).

I used to work with a this girl named Jessica, who did a vampire set also. She came out fully-cloaked in a cape to Alice Cooper's "Feed My Frankenstein". The song is very quiet and slow at the beginning, so she'd stay with the cape draped around her, but if you listen to the song, you'll know the exact moment she ripped it off and showed her pleather bikini and smiled her wide, vampire-toothed grin. It's probably been 5 years since she quit dancing, but all the dancers still talk about this show.

not sure what all is on the soundtrack, but what about "Interview with the Vampire"??

I know the music enhanced the movie, maybe it would set the same mood for some of your sets???

(now I have to download it & re-check it out!)

^^ The only song that's not instrumental soundtrack stuff on that is G N' R's cover of "Sympathy For The Devil".

^^ Wasn't this Jane's Addiction covering this in "Interview"? I could totally be wrong, and do defer to you as always, MrC.

Hey, I have a related question! Do any of you musicistas know if anyone has ever credibly remade "Bela Lugosi's Dead"? I would suggest it for the OP, but as much as I love Bauhaus, I think it might be tedious in a strip club unless it was a club leaning towards dramatic themes and feature work. Too long too. But an updated kickass version would, well, kick ass.

Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!"

Rose: Nope, it was G n' R. I even have the single. Jane's Addiction DID cover "Sympathy" on their self-titled live cd, and it was used in the film "Alien Nation" when the hot alien girlie was dancing.

Godhead covered "Bela Lugosi's Dead". It's shorter, and a bit dancier, but I'm not a big fan of it.

Ohhhh. Dur. Well, at least I can see where I got mixed up. I really like the Jane's Addiction version, so I suppose I was just projecting.

MrC! Coming through with the info once again!

^^For those of you that like "Bloodletting", make sure you have the single edit. It was on the single, or on the hits cd "Recollection" (which I think is out of print). It's a shorter version, the guitars are much louder and crunchier, and it just sounds less muddy overall.
