Hi,
The dancing is a pain here in Portland(I'm currently in retirement), wondering if anyone can make money just having photos taken? And were to find the jobs?

amp models
are you young?or at least look young?(18-27)
aaron mattews is a legit guy he has some ads on craigslist but i swear hes a REAL photographer .4 a solo softcore shoot of pics starts around $$300 - $$500 (3-4)hrs
in the beginning. if you got something that the client likes(barely legal ect.)then you can get booked 4 like 4or 5 shoots a week!
hope this helps

I'll first off by saying, any 'photographer' who posts on Craigslist is not a photographer, he's a GWC (guy with camera)
Ok, if you are serious about getting into modeling you have alot of work to do. Just walking through the door, you are not going to make money because you dont have experience yet. First you'll need to set up an account on modelmayhem onemodelplace or musecube and set up some TFP. That means you are giving your time to the photographer in place for shots.
Depending on how many you do, and how well you do them (you''re able to pose and give facial expressions that the photographer wants without him saying a word) you can move up closer to the experience level.
I will be honest, unless you have a phenomenal bod, or some tearsheets (you're in a magazine, or video), or done some promotional work it will be hard making some money starting out.
Some Douchebag: "[Pimp C] 12:43 am: its true we got to stick together the black people on SW CK you is teh condoleeza of SW"

4 or 5 *still* shoots a WEEK? Um, no. I do this full time, and I've done pretty much every major men's magazine with the exception of Playboy. From Barely Legal to Club to Genesis, I've shot for them. Thinking you are going to get 4 or 5 a week is unrealistic, to say the least, and that's shooting in LA.
People always ask me, did I ever learn anything when I was a stripper? Yeah, I did. One man plus two beers equals 20 dollars.
