Default Hi there! Retired NY gal here

"only" 37 but it seems a lifetime ago, and I do miss it, the financial freedom and the the power of beauty onstage.

I LOVED my lifestyle as a dancer. It allowed me to go to the best culinary school in the world and is very much responsible for the sweet spot I am in now.

Power and beauty, confidence, just a different stage- a restaurant. I am am happily married and met my husband just as I was getting ready to graduate, and was winding down that point in my life, because I had mentally moved on and it was hard to blend the image of a pro chef with a dancer. It was hard enough not to allow my classmates to know- my choice, no one's business.

I think you are all very beautiful, spirited ladies, and wish you all the very best on your path to success, whatever that may be. I just love it here, NO ONE knows how to look better than a stripper!!!

Welcome to SW. My ex wife is just about to complete culinary school. She never danced...at least, she never said she did. No, no, not possible. Nope. <G>

^The C.I.A., you mean? That is definitely one of the best in the country, but I think there are some good ones in NYC as well.

Welcome, Karina! I'm your same age and also from the NY/New England area. If you don't mind me asking, where did you dance?

Also, even though I'm finishing my B.S. in biology at the moment, my secret dream is to go to culinary school. I work for a catering co. now where I get to do some cooking, and I loooove it. Congrats on following a dream and making it in a tough business!

thanks for the welcome everyone, and yes I did go to the one upstate- The CIA.

Two hard long years, there was no way! I could paid my way through at an office or whatever job. $40,000, still paying student loans, so is my husband, but it was soooo worth it!!!

Follow your dreams, ladies!!! My advice, let the stripping propel you where you want to be, just keep that mental picture in your head, whether it be paying daily bills, retiring or owning your own business. Strippers are the toughest of the crowd, we all know that! We can smile and be the most gorgeous and charming on the outside, even if we feel like we are dying on the inside.

    Rock on sistahs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
