    Default Hot Button Marketing! (Book)

Purchased this book thinking it would provide some useful insight for an internet business. Well, I'm halfway through it and can't put it down. I've had a hundred "a-ha" moments, as one reviewer states here, and have found much of the information helpful at the club too! So I had to share, since I think everyone could benefit from it. I would especially recommend this to anyone here who sells goods or services such as Bridgette, Sassysummer , Alenadowns etc..

It's an easy read and provides real life examples. I'm too sleepy to provide more info, but here is the book site, which I actually find kinda pitchy. Glad I didn't see it before I saw the book. hehe

Also read "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" as a beginner book. It will make you think about the money you make a lot more, i.e. how to spend it, where to spend it, and how to make it work for you in the future. I work at a club where I drive a car that is probably worth $3000 and the rest of the dancers drive $30,000-$50,000 cars, but can barely afford their apartment rent, much less are making a mortgage payment on a house that will appreciate over the years. Meanwhile, they are making a payment on an asset that deppreciates rapidly (their car). I'm not saying that I'm above them, I blew most of the money I made during my first few years of dancing and have nothing to show for that time, other than some cool clothes and wild stories. I just wish that clubs hired financial planners for dancers. I didn't learn my lesson until I had danced for 3-4 years, but still I will be able to retire before I'm 34, and live a pretty comfortable life and pursue other interests without having to worry about money. It is because of my investments and buying real estate that I'm able to do this. Please do some research and make the money you're making work for you, as it won't last forever.

I shall look into it. I've been a regular at my public library lately.

I would love to help more dancers with financial planning. But alas, few of the ones I've met can commit to even coming and seeing me to discuss it! Plus, I'm not one to go into clubs and "advertise" my services, lol. There are enough asshole custys who do that.

"The Millionaire Next Door" is also good.

    Thanks for the info!

Personally, I hated that book. I used to joke it should be titled, "Morons who made money and had absolutely no idea what to do with it other than stuff it in a mattress." I actually think it teaches really bad lessons on how to work with wealth.
