Default unblocking pores and closing them

right i am totally kicking myself into action here.

my 8 weeks off for BA meant no make up - no gloop - no skin problems it was lush. But I still had uber blocked pores on my nose area (sounds so gross...cause it is). Anyone have any advice on a good way of unblocking the pores, closing them while they are unblocked - and keeping them unblocked?!

I guess you are talking about "blackheads"?

Washing my face, using a toner followed by a light moisturizer daily works best for me.
If they (your clogged pores/blackheads) are terribly bothersome to you, I'd suggest getting a facial to get a fresh and clear start.

I never sleep with my make up on either. I use the sensitive,hypo-alergenic baby wipes to get rid of it then was my face.

*I'm NOT an esthetician (sp) but thats what I would do.

when the blocked pores get a sizable-amount of crappola in them, then manually squeeze them out yourself. Steaming your face beforehand, like over a bowl of microwaved water, might help open the pores more and make removal easier. Then I take the sharp end of a tweezerman tweezer, and poke on the side of the blackhead, and it comes right out! however, this doesn't work as well when there isn't enough goop in the pore to come out as readily. Sounds gross, but it works, and i'm not going to pay someone 60 dollars to do it when I can do it myself.
remembert to be gentle, because you don't want to end up making bad red marks on your nose.

get a facial!! you can also buy a tool to do the process decribed above:

you use it push on the area surrounding the pore. it applies even pressure and is less likely to leave a mark than tweezers.

mix half castor oil and half olive oil. smear it all over your face, let it sit for a few minutes, massage your skin. then get a steaming hot washcloth (as hot as you can stand) and scrub that oil off. no soap. its the oil cleansing method; it works on the principle that like dissolves like. my skin looks great after i do this, and if i want some extra oomph i use a salicylic acid product on my face before i go to bed. i used to have oily skin, now it is balanced. and no more blackheads or big pores! you can actually feel the stuff coming out of your pores when you massage with oil. it feels grainy. i actually dont use soap at all; i just use oil and exfoliate.
