I watched the show - The Gunther Von Hagens Body Appeal - recently on TV yesterday. I thought it quite a fascinating subject. I didn't realise there was a shortage!
Are you prepared to donate your body to medical science? Or are you just donating your organs? Do you know how to do so in your own country? Would you be interested - why/why not? Do you think your family would honour your decision if you did decide to donate your body to medical science? Do you think that it needs to be more widely publicised that one can donate their body for medical science along the same lines (in being in the consciousness of the broader public as such) as organ donation?
For us aussies -- thanks to the ABC:
Have you ever contemplated donating your entire body to science? How do you do it? What parts can be used? And what happens to it afterwards? Danny Kingsley decided to investigate the world of body donation - and discovered that after death your body can have a whole life of its own.
