    Default wisdom teeth removal

I am having all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled out tomorrow morning. Should I be okay to work by Friday night? What are your experiences with the recovery time? Thanks!!

Personally I bounced right back and was fine the next day, but I know other people who were laid up for a week. I think it depends on whether your teeth are actually out or whether they're impacted in your gums. If they've erupted, all they have to do is yank them, but if they have to dig them out it's a bigger deal.

I've had two pulled (I need the other two done soon) and I didn't need any drugs stronger than Tylenol, and I was fine. With the second one I went to my mom's and had a big chicken dinner the same night. No sweat, don't believe the hype!

Yah mine went really smoothly and I hardly had any swelling. The bottom ones will hurt the worst, but its nothing terrible. I'd say it'd only take a day or two. Good Luck!

I had mine done on a Friday, they were impacted, so I had to go to an oral surgeon for it. I was also completely awake and lucid for the procedure, with a bit of nitrous that had little effect on me. I had pretty bad swelling for several days, however, I'm convinced it was my fault. Actually - circumstances beyond my control. (You're supposed to drink a lot of water while healing and I was stuck - literally - in a blizzard and couldn't drink for about 4 hours....shortly after that, I was in pain and swollen).

i had four done under general by an oral surgeon. i had stitches and a chipmunk face for a few days.

however, as soon as my chipmunk face had reduced enough to not be ugly, i went and performed with my dance company at the football. (3 days).

as long as you take care of the gum holes and take a couple of days rest, i can't see stripping doing you any mischief.

I had all 4 of mine out at once under general anesthetic and I played a gig 4 days later looking rather fine (-:
Everyone different though. Ive known people to still have chipmonk cheeks a week later, but hopefully you'll be fine!
If it were me though Id probably rest since Fridays can be busy and tireing anyway.
