I am wondering what the heck are good for getting rid of love handles..sheesh..they are killin me..I know exercise and diet, but what type of exercises and if anyone has any other tricks? Thanks!!

Lay on one side, put a weight on your upper thigh and lift your top leg up, and then down, slowly and with control. You should feel burning/resistance. Use only your abs to lift your leg. Also side crunches work well. Lay on your back, put knees up with feet flat on the floor, cross and ankle over a knee and crunch while crossing to the side slowly, and then go back down.

You can also do side leg lifts on a stabillity ball. Having to hold yourself on the ball while doing it works the hell out of your love handle area( i just figured this out this week..and damn I'm feeling the burn!!)

One thing: please don't do that move where you lay on your back, drop your knees to one side and attempt to crunch straight up. That's a fun way to bruise the hell out of your spine and cause some permanent damage. I see this all the damn time in my gym. ARG!
