    Default Stripper knees

Hey y'all! I've been dancing for about 2 weeks, and my knees are killing me! Are aching knees a requisite part of dancing? I saw one of the veteran dancers at my club wearing knee braces in between sets, and it made me wonder if anyone's body ever really adjusts to dancing. Does anybody have any suggestions for avoiding knee injury?

Your knee aches are par for the course for a newbie. Your body is just adjusting to all the new, repetitive movements you're doing. It will pass.

Even when I took a few months off and returned, I had to deal with it all over again.

C compression ( if not acute inflamations)
    E elevation

You can also warm up your joints. By during some range of motion exercise. It nice to warm up before you dance to help prevent damages to your muscles or your joints.

your body will get used to it. i still gwt bruises every time but no more pain or swelling, and the brusies heal much faster. i agree with the advice about icing them. do it as soon as you get home and not for more then 15 minutes every 3 hours or you will actually increase blood flow and thats exactly what you dont want.
