Isn't it an anti wrinkle cream? I'm not sure.

That's what I thought, but it's in a package with anti-acne products.

I have prescription Retin - A from the dermo (kinda weak actually, .025%and it has improved my skin dramatically.

nonono
it's not Retin-A...it's vitamin A. It smoothes and hydrates.

Yep, both retin-a and retinol are vitamin A derivitives. It basically works as a chemical exfoiliator, helping to speed up skin cell turnover so that the skin appears smoother, brighter, and clearer.
You'll see results with an OTC retinol product, especially if you've never used one before. You may see a bit of breakout the first week using it, it's taking off that first layer of dead skin cells so it'll help bring nasty things to the surface faster. After that, you should see improvements. It does make you photosensitive, so wear your SPF during the day.
