Default strippers are actually people WOW

    LOL
Well last night I chatted to this female custie while I was on a small podium at my club. She was the only person sitting there. She wanted to know lots of stuff about the job and I was in a good mood coz I was making lots of $$$$$$ so I had a chat to her.

She goes "it's great to talk to a stripper and now I realise that you are actually people and u think etc" - she was only 18 and she wasn't saying it rudely. She actually then said "oh sorry that sounded bad but I just meant you can actually talk to you etc".

I had told her I had a boyfriend and when her other female friend joined her at the table she introduced me and told her friend I had a partner.

I actually wasn't offended coz it was said so innocently.

I kind of like it how we seem so mysterious to some members of the public LOL.

heh, it kills me to hear that people actually think we aren't really like "people" because of a job difference. eh well, at least you set her straight.

    Love it!

Yea...strippers ARE people. Sometimes that surprises people, but they are. Naked, dancing people. And I love 'em for it

I remember years ago in a club in upstate NY..these two kids(you only had to be 18 to get in) were talking to my friend and I. HE asked what we had done that day. We said normal stuff...errands, tanning, went to Taco Bell came to work.... The kid gets a shocked look on his face..."you eat at Taco Bell?? just ...just like a...........a PERSON"?????

Cracked us up....did he think we were animatronic???LOL!!!
People always ask me, did I ever learn anything when I was a stripper? Yeah, I did. One man plus two beers equals 20 dollars.

I guess it's similar to how people get amazed that famous people are "people" too. I suppose that's why when a celeb eats at a fast-food place or goes to a grocery store the paps photograph them.

People seem to forget we don't sleep on cots in the dressing rooms, and that we have to do things 'regular' people do too.....

I like to tell guys that I can't leave early because they lock us in. They actually believe me!
One guy even believed it when I said I am a mirage and if I try to leave I just fad away.
I wonder if some people think we are just born strippers.
Please don't lick me, it tickles..

This is like when you're a kid and you see your teacher at the grocery store on the weekend and you're like "OMG, they exist outside of school"

sometimes you just have to laugh at what people say because there is no possible reaction to that or retort.

I saw a regular customer at a mall and he said to me "you do wear clothes"

Some people are kinda innocent others are just dumb. I wish we could find a balance.

Honestly, I kind of like the mystique that comes with being a stripper. Most customers could never imagine us with a face mask on and our hair pulled back, shopping for groceries, waking up early for class, using a heating pad when we have cramps, etc. That's why they like us, they only see the shiny polished version.

So true. That's partly why I started. For a few hours at work, I get to be someone else. I get to be the embodiment of sexiness, for guys who (hopefully) will never see the darker or gritty side of my life. I've posted this before, but it's that alternate persona I get to don that makes stripping fun/bearable.

Yeah, customers are really surprised when they ask what I do in my time off and I tell them the usual things like errands, bank, groceries, etc. They look so surprised that I actually attempt to do "normal" things. It is so funny to see their expressions!! It is PRICELESS!!

Well, it's *kinda* true. When I take my shoes off at the end of the night, I cease to be Grace. Really. Try walking up to me in the grocery store and asking me to take my shirt off for $20 and see what happens.
