Arrow New acne treatment that "sucks"?

Anyone know or hear about that new acne treatment where they "vacume/suck" the dead skin cells, whiteheads, blackheads, pimples, etc out of your pores? I saw it on tv yesterday but i flipped on the channel to late, basically they said it was just as effective as a facial w/extractions only it was painless, didnt leave scars, etc. Im looking in to trying this out so if you got some 411 about this, please let me know. Your help is appreciated.

I hadn't heard of it before but a quick search came up with this home treatment
http://www.blackhead-gun.com/faq.htm they are selling it for $29.99 but it looks like such a simple piece of equipment you can probably find it cheaper.
well what do you know! $0.99 on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/Acne-Blackhead-R...QQcmdZViewItem

BUT also found this on an acne site which suggests it isn't that great a method
"Some women buy suction guns for blackheads. A suction gun is made up of plastic, so can’t be sterilized. Suction gun toys never clean the pores completely and deeply, result is that you will get acne and pimples again. Suction Gun may cause broken capillary conditions and is also not very effective. Only the very superficial dead cells and dirt may be sucked away, leaving the condition with no evident improvement."

I couldn't find specific info on salon treatments, so maybe best to pop into ones near you and ask.

Thanks for the input guys, its not a home treatment or a product you purchase. You have to go to one of there clinics/spas whatever and get the procedure done. Its something like a series of 5 treatments using ultra violet light i think along with some high pressure suction. (extraction equivalent). Hmmm ill try to search it up but if someone knows whats up, feel free to chime in.

Have u tried microdermabrasion? I keep plugging it on here coz it's done wonders for my skin. It has a sucking type device and feels like your face is being vaccumed.

You could probably get microdermabrasion or just get a really deep cleaning facial from the spa. They do extract when they do those types of facials. I wanted to ask you, have you ever used Pro-Activ? Did it work for you or no?

Whats up CK, well i used to go to this place called Ijoyspa for facials w/extractions. They worked pretty good for me because the lady doing my face would extract any whiteheads/blackheads that i had. I have used Pro Activ but it didnt work all that well for me. I think if you just have "pimples" then Pro Activ might yield you some positive results. Since my skin is mostly blackheads/whiteheads with a few pimples, then facials w/extractions work best for me cause they remove my blackheads/whiteheads...which Pro Activ doesn't "remove" for me....but the pro activ did kinda work on my "pimples"....but not the whiteheads/blackheads.

Pro-Active sucks! I would go for a light chemical peel followed by a facial. The peel really preps your skin for the facial and my skin looks gorgeous when I leave. Microdermabrasion is not recommended for those with existing acne.

Latina Rose- What type of chemical peel do you use. TCA, glycolic, etc? At home, or dermatologist?

Try Hydra facial they are pricey not cheap but they do a very good job at cleaning out your skin and getting the gunk out from your pores. Makes skin feel smoother, I would recommend taking a pain killer a hour before as it is quite a tense treatment, I find it isn't soft on my face when it is performed, it feels quite rough. Afterwards they put a 2min acid peel on your skin that tightens it. Then you are free to go!

Recommendation is 6 treatments to get full benefit to receive results!!
