Over the past couple of months I have developed moderate acne on my back. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and how they dealt with it?

I have had this problem before...I used PanOxyl 10 bar - it has 10% benzoyl peroxide and a back brush. I did this twice a day and saw results rather quickly. Also, you might want to read some of the threads about glycolic body washes. I think people have had some success with those too. The PanOxyl bar is available at a regular drug or grocery store. I get mine at Rite Aid.

You can also use benzoyl peroxide cream on your back. BUt if you do, wear an old t-shirt to bed or it can bleach your sheets.
I also recommend making sure you rinse thoroughly while in the shower. Rinse your hair off to the side instead of down your back, and let the shower fall on your back for a few seconds just before turning the water off. If you exercise, make sure you shower as soon afterward as possible. I usually end up with bacne due to the bacteria from sweating.
So, shower ASAP after sweating, rinse your back, use BP cream. That should take care of it quickly!
One product you may want to check out is the Dan Kern benzoyl peroxide gel on acne.org. The tube is about $12 (including shipping), but it's 4 ounces (compared with $5-6 for a typical half-ounce tube of Neutrogena or Oxy) and a little goes a long way. You may want to stick to using it every other day because I find it is actually quite powerful for its concentration (2.5% benzoyl peroxide), but it's great for de-acnefying large skin surfaces. The gel is a nice texture and absorbs quickly and the tube should last quite a while.

I've been having this problem too lately. My face is fine but my back is jacked.![]()
It must be a hormonal thing. I started getting acne on my back for the first time about a year ago. Mine is cleared up now, I don't know if it's because my hormones are balancing out or if it's because I use Aveeno Clear Complexion moisturizer on it every day, but I'm not going to stop using it to find out lol. It doesn't bleach clothing either.
I have it too! I started getting it when I was about 18, pretty bad. I took 2 months of Accutane and it was gone for years! But its creeped back in the last few years. I'm not going through Accutane again, too old for that shit. And I was only on it for 2 months, short compared to most.
I have a back brush that I use to scrub with exfoliator, but its not really working. I put benz. per. on it, and still, nogo.
I think I really need to wash my bras after each wear, and take cotton swabs of alcohol to my back several times a day, or something.
Any other advice?

Try washing your back with Head&Shoulders. Seriously, the zinc in it will clear you right up.
acne.org has some info on this.

Is your hair longer? How long has it been since you washed your sheets and pillow cases?

There's totally bodywashes and stuff for this:
Plus, there's something called Nature's Cure or something to that effect that comes with cleansers and pills if I'm not mistaken. To work from the inside out AND the outside in. Worth a shot..GOOD LUCK!![]()

^^^ I love that Neutrogena Body Scrub! It basically just dries out my back and I don't get nasty zits from sweating (showering occasionally helps too....kidding)
I just started getting random occasional cystic back acne about 6 months ago. It was right when my face really started clearing up so I think it just moved :p

So true. I had horrible bacne for years and its finally cleared up. I started off slathering it on in the shower, leaving it for about a minute and then washing it off. I even heard some people suggest leaving it on like a topical cream, but when i did that my back burnt! I was reccomended to use the mens head and shoulders, and its probably the cheapest thing you can try.
