I use Brewer's Yeast pills.

Yeah yeast is good because it expands in your stomach, and it's not too harmful (to my knowledge, anyway).
What does brewer's yeast do? I have never heard of it.
I drink club soda.
If you think school is hard, try being stupid.

I take extra light olive oil (but you can also use sugar water). Just take it an hour after consuming anything with a flavour, including gum, toothpaste and diet soda. Then consume nothing with a flavour for one hour after taking it. You will notice a huge reduction in your appetite. This is because calories without flavour lower your set point weight, making your body start to defend a lower weight.
Start with just a tablepoon if you don't want to lose much weight (ie more than 10lbs). The sugar water is 2 tablespoons of white sugar to half a litre of water, which you drink over the course of half an hour to avoid a blood sugar spike.

Wow, this is really interesting. What is the logic behind this (if you know). 1 tablespoon of olive oil has around 120 calories. I would personally rather eat those calories then take a tablespoon of olive oil, but if this statement has any logic behind it (rather than just another dieting gimick) then I'd do it in a heartbeat.

If you order The Shangri La Diet book off amazon, it will explain all the science for you. There's a small explanation here: http://sethroberts.net/science/.
I can tell you that I use it and have put three of my friends onto it. It's worked very well for all of us.
I began it thinking that it might be another gimmick, but that I'd give it a try and see. If it didn't work, or if I gained weight, I reasoned, I could always stop. As it happened, I've lost 10kg/20lbs since the end of November.

Do you take in the olive oil all at one time, as compared to the sugar water?

I only use the oil, since I'm pre-diabetic. Yes, I take it all at once. I use 2 tablespoons a day but may soon cut down to one, since I'm less than 10lbs away from my goal (110-115lbs). The oil you use is extra light olive oil, since it is nearly flavourless.
You also take the sugar water at once, but you must sip it slowly over the course of half an hour to avoid a blood sugar spike.
If you're an ephedrine fan, a box of Primatene tablets is about eight bucks at Wal-Mart.
Tea works when I'm at school & don't have time to grab something.. Even an energy drink helps keep my cravings at bay.
Green tea plain supresses my appatite by filling up my tummy, and it's a metabolism booster. It has a strong flavor, so it's sort of like eating. if you crave the act of eating, freese it intto cubes and chew on them. The taste is not too liked by everyone, but it'll grow on you. I love it.

The problem with using anything that boots metabolism is that you will be hungry again sooner, if you use it often. If you're going to use something to fill your stomach in between eating, I'd suggest something that doesn't effect the metabolic rate much. Like a broth. Now, if you KNOW for a fact (from use) that the metabolic rate boost is VERY slight, that might be ok.... you don't want to speed up said rate by a lot or else you're gonna feel hungry 24/7.... like me. Ugh.

If i eat a meal and then quikley after i am hungry i just consume lots of liquid.. soup is another good alternative- stay away from the cream based soups

Ok so I'm going to try the tbs. of light evoo method. Thanks for the tip flickad.
where can i get brewers yeast? Is it a pill? I checked in the vitamin section at my grocery store and didn't see anything.

I find that after awhile of eating smaller portions, my body just adjusts. Did you recently cut your intake? It takes awhile to adjust.
Otherwise I just really fill up on cold lemon water and have a fruit or two.
But barring that I would say caffeine. Green tea and even better white tea. I personally like my coffee. Not the best for you, but it beats diet pills...
Maybe find out the trigger for your hunger. Is it stress? Boredom? Maybe something medical is going on too.
Eating helps....
Though to be serious, if you're hungry all the time, you need to look at why, not suppress it, since the second most important thing to proper nutrition is nutrition timing.
I know I crave chocolate a LOT, Doctor states that that's typically a sign of an adjusting or lack-of sufficient amount in your body.
After studies and help from such naturals like venus goddess, I find that the Emily method of eating tons just small and healthy helps kill these cravings. But at this point, I'll tell you, eating properly is full time.
People are not ruled by their memories.

yerba mate teas is very excellent. they also have it in pill form. ma huang is also very good. if u go to ur local health food store they also have really good products that have worked for me in the past
apples

I believe 5-HTP has appetite suppressing effects in addition to it's other benefits (if I remember correctly).

No problem, I'm ever grateful to the person here who started the Shangri-La thread, thus introducing me to the concept. I've become a bit of an evangelist, so that I can maybe help someone else too. It's really, really helped me, and it's lovely to be fitting into my old clothes again.
Oh, by the way, it's ELOO (extra light olive oil). The extra virgin kind has a flavour and hence will not lower your set point weight the way a flavourless oil would.
