    Default Kodak Easyshare

Ive been tryin to figure this out forever...
All my photos go straight to kodak easyshare when i put them on the PC from my kodak digital camera.. which is what I want.the problem is when I upload them for photo hosting, or to print them,I have to drag them from the kodak program to the desktop so that I can find them when I "browse" for the particular picture. Isnt there some way I can have a folder where all my pictures are stored automatically,to avoid searching in Kodak, moving to desktop, then putting it back in the Kodak program from the desktop? When I 'browse' theres no : Kodak Easyshare" folder... Anybody know what I mean?? i got TONS of pics to handle this week and its so much hassle i dont een wanna do it,even though i love sharing pics.

You can go to search (on your start button) click on find files or folder and copy and paste this....

    *.jpg,jpeg

It will give you a list of all your pictures then you can find the ones you want and see where they are saved at. did that make sense?

It's weird that "Kodak Pictures" isn't one of the folders in your "my pictures" That's how it is on mine & I didn't do anything to make that happen, it just was. You can move pictures, or any file, even whole folders to any other folder or location. Try selecting the Kodak pics folder & then select move & move it to my pictures. Hope it actually stays there. What you're doing sounds super-annoying.

There should be a folder simply called Kodak.

Find your Kodak folder where your uploaded photos reside. Go up one level so that you see the actual folder and not the contents inside of it. Right click the folder and "create shortcut". You'll now see an additional folder on the bottom of the structure called "shortcut to Kodak". Right click that folder and cut. Then minimize all open windows and paste it onto your desktop. This will at least give you a quick shortcut to the uploaded folder right there on your desktop.

I deleted that crappy easyshare software right off my computer, I just didn't find it useful. Maybe that's just me. Now, when I plug in my camera, it just automatically goes to my "My Pictures" folder that came on my desktop. I can do all my editting and stuff from there, and this way, those pictures are in the same folder as my cell phone pictures, scanned pictures, etc and I don't have to deal with the stupid Kodak software.

Oh and by the way, I did something similar to this, but the reason I said F*CK IT and delted the whole program was b/c I didn't like that even when I was in "My Pictures", if I'd go to edit or print, it would only open in KodakEasyshare, unless I remembered EACH INDIVIDUAL time to select "open with" whatever the program I like it. It defaulted to Kodak and it would not let me permanently change the default. VERY ANNOYING.
