This question just popped into my mind. Vegans do not eat any animal products, and sperm are alive and swimming. It's fresh-squeezed human milk.
Do vegans with kids breastfeed?

It's a common question. It varies. Vegans do eat living things, plants are living, etc.

But semen is an animal product. Vegans don't even eat honey because it comes from animals.

Well humans arn't considered "animals" by some, like I said, it varies, there are not set rules, it's what you make it.
Hmm.... But what if the guy ate meat?
If you think school is hard, try being stupid.

my thought is... you aren't eating it, you are performing a sexual act. if you are spreading semen on some toast then it's a whole different ball game.
Love it!

Vegans vary widely by rules, much like religion, so it's impossible to say one thing is right and one thing is wrong as a whole community.
Yes some vegans swallow and of course they breastfeed if they want to / can! Its up to the individual. Oral sex is a good source of vitamin B12 apparently too.
I think you will find more indepth answers here
Wow. LMAO. Im not a vegan, but I am a vegetarian, and I just got done swallowing some, sat down in my computer chair..and this was the first thread I read.

(shoudl i have said on some matzah? ahaha.. bad joke.. really.. you'd probably still have vom in mouth heh)
Love it!
Veganism isn't about not eating animal products just 'cause...there are reasons, mostly to do with animal rights, health, and ecology (maximizing energy per km of arable land). None of those has anything to do with humans/semen. It doesn't hurt anyone, cause health problems or lead to environmental upset, so why shouldn't vegans swallow?
Feature costumes for sale!

it's usually an animal rights thing.
with that said, yes, I swallow. It's a good source of B12 too, which is hard to get if you're a vegan.
I'm on a vegan board and a lot of them swallow too.

all the vegans i know eat honey. i don't see why that should affect its acceptability. bees harvest it much like a farmer would harvest wheat. same/similar thing imo. in that sense, it's more a plant product than animal product.
honey is the only food product that does not involve some form of death, plant or animal or decay of those.
Only if they're posers. REAL vegans don't swallow.
I have taught that the sky in all its zones is mortal and its substance was formed by a process of birth
I do know some vegans who don't eat honey on principle, which strikes me as a little extreme. I respect the concept of not exploiting animals and using them for their products, but as snoopy said, it's more like harvesting than putting the bees in any sort of exploited situation. How the hell would you control bees en masse anyway?
Eddie Izzard described it as "stealing honey", and I think that's pretty damned accurate. They're not kept in a tiny pen living in their own filth, being fed chemicals and antibiotics and hormones (and their own filth), WE have to tiptoe in in full body armor and hope we don't get stung within an inch of our lives.
As far as breast milk and semen* goes, well, two things. Part of the concept of eliminating dairy products (plus many others, including humane ones) is based on what they see as the absurdity of mammals consuming the breast milk of other mammals, and doing so beyond infancy. Humans are the only animals to do this. You can even make a case for eating eggs based on the precedent of nature (snakes, raptors & other animals raiding nests), but not milk. Even the most righteous vegan can see that breast milk is intended for human babies.
And semen? The issue is consent, isn't it? From a humane perspective? If your're getting the semen without the . . . producer's permission, then that's a problem. Otherwise, take Chrissy's cue and spread it on your toast like Vegemite!

I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.
Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

Well, I think that the conditions under which milk & eggs are mass produced is arguably a destructive process. No, it doesn't involve KILLING the animals to obtain them, but the conditions under which the animals live are considered incredibly cruel and abusive by many.
Actually big cats do it too, if they kill a lactating mother. The milk is the first thing they go for. And ever give some cow's milk to a housecat? They love it (and yes, I know it's not good for them on a regular basis, but as an occasional treat it's fine). I'm sure some other predators probably do it too, if cats do.Originally Posted by RoseWhite

True enough about the saucer o'milk for the kitties, though I was referring more to what happens naturally in the wild. Speaking of that, though, I didn't know about the big cats going for the milk of their prey! You learn something new every day. Still, though, I can't picture an adult gazelle suckling the teat of a wildebeest.

^^Well, I certainly wouldn't want a BJ from RoseWhite. SHE'S COVERED IN BEES!

waffles are just pancakes with little squares on them.
Peta disagrees with honey being cruelty free.

I'm a vegetarian - could't survive as a vegan, I eat honey, semen, eggs and milk. In that order.
