Moisturizer and time.
Not much else you can do short of expediting the exfoliation process...in which case you can consider a chemical peel, or daily use of a retinoid (Retin-A, Tazorac).

Paula's choice has an amazing skin lightener called 'Clearly remarkable skin lightening gel'. I use it to fade my red spot's from pimples and it work's great.
Just make sure not to put any on untill after the pimple has healed because it might damage your skin if you put it on an open blemish.

I use Obagi's Vitamin C Serum with hydroquinone 4%. Not only is it good for discolorations but fine lines too. Works awesome and it's worth the hundred bucks. The bottle last forever!

Will a chemical peel make your skin red afterwords? If so how long does that usually last? I have super sensitive, acne prone skin and practicually everything irritates it![]()
What about the over the counter brands like L'oreal? Do they work at all? Or would you only recommend a professional peel? I def. don't want to mess up my skin but everytime I go to walgreens I'm so tempted to buy one of those home peel kits they have.

A chemical peel works by removing the top layers of dead skin cells. I have only had them done at a med spa, not at home. An at home one would help, but getting a professional one will yield much better results much quicker. My skin was light pink for a couple hours afterwards. No downtime after that. The more intensive the peel, the more downtime. Go easy on your first one so you know how your skin reacts. I wish I had let her keep the solution on longer - it was only on 2-3 minutes and my skin looked amazing! I recommend going to a med spa over a regular spa or salon. A med spa will have a dermatologist on hand that can supervise and has trained the aestheticians. You may even be able to combine your peel with a dermo visit and not pay the office visit fee. (I do this at my med spa.) Retin - A is awesome for making old marks go away so try to get a script for that. Just don't use it til your skin has recovered from the peel, usually a day or two at most.
hmmm... it sounds scary.... I know that sounds silly seeing as I want a BA and lipo. but yeahhh I'll look into it tho. Thanks for the explination!!!
^^It's not scary at all. I was really nervous the first time, but it was totally fine.

Thanx for the recommendations ladies![]()
I cover my face in vitamin E all night ounce a week... all my scars are gone.
I use something called Bacitracin Zinc Ointment USP. In about 2 days my scars are completely gone.
Ive used the L'oreal at home peel and it is amazing!!!! Ive use it once a week for the past 5 weeks and my skin looks amazing. I have kind-of oily skin with some pretty large pores. I dont break out that badly but when I do, the pimple ALWAYS leaves scars. Since using the peel, almost ALL of my scars have faded. I used to use my MAC concealer everyday to hide the spots and now I barely have to use it!!!!
The kit says only leave it on for 5 minutes but I usually leave it on for 10. And I have super sensitive skin and it hasnt caused ANY breakouts or even irritation!!!!
I highly recommend the purchase....it worth a shot (and its only $25!!!!) and you get 8 weeks worth of peel.....
Hope this helps.....
Oh, let me introduce myself.....Im nyhottie and this is my first post!!!!!!! Im on this like 20 times a day and I never worked up the courage to post.

I take zinc and fish oil and my skin is much improved. Since I started my supplement regime, I heal much faster. I think it's worth a try.
