Default Songs that are not quite badass? Like for the diet coke version of punky costumes?

I really dig dressing up pseudo-punk...Like with little red plaid/ big black belted school girl dresses and place riveted tops...But, that's as far as I go. I have one tattoo that is literally mistaken for a birthmark, it is so small, and I can't fight my smiley, girl next door cutesy demeanour. It's all I got.

So without altering my look, I was wondering what kind of songs are suitable for this? I have been dancing to "Beautiful People", Iggy Pop, Interpol...Radiohead. The new ones from Finger Eleven and FallOut Boy. Oh, also "Fuck the Pain Away". I can't dance to any other Peaches songs, but the guys all dig that one.

I'm just getting bored with my current repetoire, but I fear trying new stuff that will make me look too poseury. Because of course I am a bit of a poseur, so I guess I need stuff that fits.

I dunno. I like your music...you're all hip n' shit. Keep going with that...the college-radio type stuff. I can't recommend anything because I'm stuck in 1992...

What was that song by Veruca Salt? That might be good.

Do you like older, New Wave type stuff from the 80's?

"Never Say Never (I might like you better if we slept together)" Romeo Void

It might be a little bit harder than what you are looking for, but it's a great song for a stripclub, and not so hardcore as to turn people off.

But much better might be some of the great stuff done by Missing Persons, like "Destination Unknown", "Words", "Walking in LA", "I Like Boys". Dale Bozzio rocks, and she was also delightfully slutty, posing for several men's magazines, etc

Thanks for the tips...those are good songs that I forgot about. Cool. Good music makes me so ridiculously happy sometimes.

Umm..stuff by The Cramps? Some people label them punk but I always thought of them as early rockabilly.I dunno but I'm with Alexxa on this one.

    Some craptastic bands as follows:
    Good Charlotte
    Flogging Molly
there's more I know but the above always try to pull the "punk" thing
