Whoa that sucks. Is their any other club you could go to?

There is one answer to this issue. The club is losing money. Their profits are down.
The girls and the owners need to come together and find a solution to increasing profits for BOTH the dancers AND the owners. NEVER talk to the owner of a club about your problems unless you can find a way to address his problems too.
When a club gets like this they need to find a way to expand their customer base, and make the club more fun. Eventually any club will go under if they continue to extract more money out of the girls to compensate for their sagging head count.

Go to another club! You can't afford not to! That's crazy!!!
I agree, go somewhere else!

hustle harder

^^^ you didn't say where this club is located. This may just be the result of the general economy deteriorating in your area, leading to fewer customers being able to afford a trip to a club as well as those customers who do come in having fewer available 'discretionary dollars' to spend once they get there. If this is the case then your only real option is to move to an area where the general economy is still good.
Bottom line on dancing in clubs in cities with a declining economy is this (and I'm not going to sugar coat this) ...
Fewer dollars are coming in the front door of the club. At the same time, the club's costs of doing business stay the same (or increase) in terms of taxes + utility bills + insurance etc. As a result, clubowners are going to try and increase the club's profitability by whatever means is necessary. If fewer dollars are coming into the front door of the club, and if the club needs to extract the same number of total dollars to stay profitable, the ONLY place that the club can get those additional dollars is from the dancers. Your clubowner obviously is in this position and has already doubled stage fees plus increased the club's 'cut' of private dance earnings in order to supplement the club's profitability at the expense of the dancers.
With fewer customer dollars available, and with the club raking a higher 'cut' from the dancers, the next thing that is likely to happen is that dancers will start competing very hard to grab a larger 'share' of whatever customer dollars are available. This usually leads to some girls starting to offer 'extras', remaining club customers starting to expect 'extras', new customers coming to the club specifically looking for 'extras', and dancers who aren't willing to offer 'extras' seeing their earnings potential drop to WalMart levels.
Unfortunately, there really is no answer to this problem other than increasing the number of customer dollars walking in the club's front door. There is very little that one dancer or a group of dancers can do along these lines, as it is really up to the clubowner to resort to advertising or a 'face lift' or some other means of trying to attract more 'show club' customers into your club at the expense of other clubs. Failing that, the only place that you're going to be able to find more customer dollars walking through a club's front door is in a different city / area.
The alternate means of increasing the number of dollars walking in the club's front door in a city with a depressed economy is for the club to develop a reputation for 'extras' ... which will undoubtedly convince some new customers to start coming to the club who are willing to spend money - provided that their expectations are met. Clubowners usually love this option as it doesn't require them to spend any money out of their own pockets for advertising or improving the club's appearance, but provides the club a higher revenue stream based on cover charges plus drink minimums plus 'cuts' from the dancers - with the dancers and not the clubowner usually taking on all of the 'bust' risk. But this option is a double whammy for 'clean' dancers, who have greater difficulty trying to sell private dances that don't meet customer expectations, plus face the risk of being bugusly busted right along with other dancers who are in fact providing 'extras' to customers.
In either scenario, the clubowner really doesn't give a s#!t about dancer earnings potential - or lack thereof. Thus for 'clean' dancers, this scenario leads to essentially three choices ...
A. start offering 'extras'
B. move to a different city
C. start looking for a 'straight job' that will pay as much as your future dancing earnings are likely to be reduced to

I'd also suggest going on a household budget, cutting things that aren't necessities. Find ways to economize. If you don't overspend what you've got coming in, and you're able to build a pool of savings to meet unexpected expenses and fund future transitions, you've got more flexibility in the future as the situation gets worse. Also, start researching and exploring alternatives to what you're doing. Meet people, get involved, network, build resources. Lay the groundwork now for future changes.
I know, it's hard. But the only way to protect yourself from falling income is to have a cushion for the tough times, and the only way to protect yourself from failing workplaces is to have plenty of alternatives.

oh, it sounds like you live in or near seattle. you can work in portland on weekends pretty easily a couple of times a month without cutting into school.
Hey gorgeous,
I'm pissed off that they're doing this, too. Why not just up the late rent, or charge more at the door? I really don't think charging the guys a few extra dollars to get in would make them stop coming- not when we're definitely the best club around with the prettiest girls. And they should never, ever fuck with the dance rent. They take enough as it is.
I talked to the managers and supposedly the owners felt it was fair because they haven't raised the rent in a long time. Yeah, right. Remember a few years ago at a meeting when one of the owners said he'd never raise the rent again? (I'm not using names here, but you know who I'm talking about). First they take extraordinary measures to make sure the girls don't overcharge, now this? They know we don't have a choice. The Torch and the Vu suck for money even more than our club, so they know there's not much we can do (other than every single girl not showing up for a few days.... they'd be so fucked).
They definitely should have had a meeting about this and at least explained why they're doing it. We're not all stupid little girls.
And whoever told you to hustle harder clearly has not seen you work. You're a little hustler!

Working in a commission based club where all you get is $60 out of $100 and $36 out of $60 is even shittier! Or like a club back home for me... you get $30 out of $55.. or $50 out of $90 !!! Then there is another club back home which is $55 "rent" followed by $1 per minute there-after.
Why can't clubs just charge a base "rent" and be done with it?! Even some of my 'favourite' clubs in Melbourne have up-ed their charges and/or have more ways to extract money out of the dancers.....
it's everywhere. it's rampant in this industry. it's a given.
