    Default Hiccups on Stage

So I have really bad hiccups. It feels like I got kicked in the chest each time I hiccup and it is really painful they are really visible too because they shake my body, They've brought me to tears before when I couldnt get rid of them. I just got them and was suddenly terrified that I would get them while I was on stage dancing. The only thing that gets rid of them is drinking water upsidedown. Has anyone ever gotten hiccups on stage?? what do/did you do??

I searched for threads about this before and nothing came up about this... I also feel really silly asking it but yeah well whatever.

One helpful thing I learned from my ex - peanut butter! Two spoonfuls will take hiccups away. It always works for me, I have no idea why, but it does. Kinda gross when you're drunk, but it does work.

I've hiccuped on stage. Also sneezed, also tripped. Also gotten my shoe buckle caught on the stocking of the opposite leg... my earring caught in my costume... lost a series of acrylic nails and bits of body piercings... the list of Teeth's bloopers is neverending. Just make a cute "oops" face and keep dancing; customers often appreciate knowing a girl is human. I mean, it's best not to communicate your human nature via onstage diarrhea attacks or anything. But hiccupping is pretty tame and even a little cute. I've also found that stretching my abdominal muscles when I feel hiccups coming on (because I get bad ones too, that I can feel a few minutes before the hiccuping starts) helps to make them less severe (but doesn't often prevent them entirely).

I've had hiccups on stage as well. And I will also agree, I've lost jewlery, nails, I fell onto a customer last friday because my shoe had no buckle or strap, they are the slip on kind, and they are very slippery... so since I had been dancing all night they got sweaty (yuck I know) and I had slipped after turning around. Customers probably thought I was intoxicated as I was not because it was just those shoes and they are 8 inches.... maybe I should wear diff. ones.

omg I don't think I could ever wear slip on shoes. like stripper shoes or reg heels. I hate not having the security of a strap, yikes!! I think I'd walk around like those girls who cant walk in heels. I've seen some that are really cool, but I could never wear them, esp 8 inches. I can walk fine in 6ers, but 8... not so much.

I hate the straps, but to each her own.

I get awful hicupps, at least once, and often 3-4x a day. And they're pretty bad. I've learned to just deal with it, inore it as much as possible.

And once you've gotten the hiccups while having sex with someone, you just kindof get over it.

and i think it makes custys think I'm adoreable and real.

I do walk around like I can't walk in heels, but if they're sexy I deal with it I guess and I should just wear my other ones to prevent this from happening next time.
