This happens to me once in a while. Its typically because Im over worked and over stressed, typically premenstral, and exhausted. I recently took 6 weeks off work and went back this weekend and did quite well. Management pulled me aside and said they were glad to see me back but are happy I took time off because I needed it.

That happened to me last Friday oddly enough. (I have anxiety issues) and I actually went back to my club cleaned out my locker and quit. I had had a customer be really f'ing handsy with me earlier. Because we have NO SECURITY AT ALL during day shift. All the managers called me freaking out telling me how much they loved me. I went in today and told them I would be there tomorrow. Take a couple days to yourself. Try and figure out why you broke down like that.

I need a break to decide if I can cope with this job. I think anyone who lasts long-term as a dancer is very mentally strong because I've been in it 5 months at an air-dance club and it's already taking it's toll on me. I have such admiration for girls who make a career out of it, it's a fucking hard job.
One of the ways I had a break and recharged yet still stayed a dancer was thru travelling! Honest. Surrounding myself by four different walls, being in a different part of the country, dealing with a different club all helped (and continues to help) keep me refreshed.

The longest I was ever at any one club at any one time was just over a year before I moved on. I found it a necessity to last in this business. Just times when you need to take a break from a club and dance in another club be it in the same state (different town) or different state.

Yes, this has happened to me too and it's embarrassing to say the least. I don't like being vulnerable and showing any weakness at work, but I'm human.

Take some time off so you can get your head back in the game.

For me, I no longer work on days that I'm feeling like blaa. I just won't come in. So, the days I do work I'm like the Stepford Stripper, untouchable, a robot programmed for success. I know it sounds crazy, but I haven't had a breakdown at work since.

Babe! I didn't know this happened. Was this on Easter Saturday? I wasn't there that night because I really needed a break. And after last night's stint, I think I might need another this week.

You seemed well last night so I assume things have blown over a bit. But yeah, I had a night like that once when I just burst into tears. It was actually on a Saturday during the GP weekend... and I did it while I was on the floor! Thank goodness it was the end of my shift so I was leaving anyway but yeah... It was such a CRAP night and money doesn't even come into the equation because you just want to get as far away from the place as you can, in the quickest amount of time possible. Or maybe that's just me.

Anyway, I hope you're feeling better now!
