suggestions? I can't tell you artists that I'm into, cause I know nothing about the genre. But I'm having this itch to dance to some serious sexy blues.

I'm confused, but the Chewbacca Truffle Shuffle cleared it up. - Emily

Anything by Nora Jones is slow and sexy. Her style is a jazzy/blues. Regardless, its hot.

This is a very timely thread, and one I will be contributing to and watching. I have two dancers who love the blues, and they are both well worth spoiling rotten. I have some great stuff I play for them, but I have been wanting to find more, so bring it on...
Also, I have noticed that women who like blues will generally go for a sultry jazz track as well.
Here's just a few to start you off:
Mannish Boy, Hoochie Coochie Man, Cocaine and Reefer (AKA Champagne and Reefer), Muddy Waters
Red House, Jimi Hendrix
Lie To Me, Johnny Lang
Murdering Blues, Eric Sardinas
Suzie Q, John Lee Hooker and Johnny Winter (this version especially, there's a zillion others which aren't as good)
That's all I can post now, I am wiped out from a rather long, boring night at work.
Great idea for a thread!

Oh, and here's a couple links to old threads about the blues, which will also help:

Check out Etta James - the lady can sure sing. Her covers of "You can leave your hat on, "Just want to make love to you" and "I'd rather go blind" showcase her style.
(As to her live cut of Shake yo Bottle - check out the lyrics!)
Pretty cheesey, but the Mighty Houserockers "I'll play the blues for you", is easy listening blues that'll probably go down well in a club.
Might be hard to find; Maria Mulduar - "Don't you feel my leg" is great smokey blues: "Don't you feel my thigh - because you might go too high".
Where do you stop:
Albert King - Born under a bad sign.
T Bone Walker - They call it stormy Monday (but Tuesday's just as bad).
Erma Franklin - Take a little piece of my heart.
If you want some great blues covers check out a CD by Paul Rogers called Muddy Water Blues. Rogers has got one of the great singing voices, and he covered a number of Muddy Waters tracks.
Hoochie choocie man.
Good morning little schoolgirl.
Standing round crying.
She moves me.
Are all great tracks.
Phil.
Thank you both so much. I love Muddy Waters and I'll check out the others also. I'll read those old threads too, I didn't find them in my search.

Even though it's got a southern rock flavor to it, "Tied To The Whipping Post" by the Allman Brothers is one of the sexiest blues songs I've ever danced to.
Along the same lines is "Stranglehold" by Ted Nugent is awesome, although long. I've edited it on the CD's I used for work.
Restless Sinner - Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
Blue on Black - Kenny Wayne Shepherd
I'm just getting started dancing, but this is my favorite set right now.
