    Default Speak?

Someone stole my voice!!! Give it back!!!

Okay seriously... the right side of my face and neck is all puffy... my throat hurts so bad I can hardly swallow or talk.... and my right ear feels like its going to explode! Advil doesnt work... but for some odd reason Buckleys daytime pills help the swelling and give me my voice back a little bit... I get a dizzy weak feeling every now and then and my skin hurts(does that make sense?)

I have no fever, no upset stomach.. no cough or runny nose or anything like that.

I've had this since last week... last night when I flew into Montreal on the landing I couldnt get my ears to pop(seeing as they were sore).. it was the most painful thing ever!! When they finally did pop it was this super sharp insane pain like an explosion in my ears.. I cant explain it.

Any ideas? I cant get to a doctor sadly... and im doing the miss nude quebec this week

Hmm.. as far as getting your voice back, hot tea with lemon or lemonade mixed in helps a lot. Sounds like you have a larger issue, though. Hmm..

Could be the pressure resulting form the landing drew some fluid into your ears from your nasal cavities. (The ears, throat, and nose are all connected.) This can result in an ear infection. Or, the pressure build-up may have ruptured your eardrum--this can happen as well, and can also result in an infection. Ear problems can also cause dizzyness, since the inner ear regulates balance. Better get in to a walk-in clinic--they may prescribe antibiotics. You don't want to screw around with an inner ear problem. If there is an infection, it is pretty close to your brain--nevermind the potential for hearing loss. Better make time in your schedule, because you should not fly again with an ear infection until it heals.

    YOU TAKE A BREAK, DAMMIT!

    *shakes fist*

To take care of the sore throat (symptoms-wise):

-Buy the cheapest aspirin (aspirine) you can find. You want it cheap so that it's not enteric-coated.
    -crush it into a powder.
-mix with warm water and salt, gargle for as long as you can.

The aspirin will numb your throat, and the salt will help kill bacteria. Repeat every 4 hours-ish.

You might want to make the time for a doctor...is there a walk-in clinic near Bar Le Garage? Look in the phone book. Having an infection could mess up your chances at the title...remember the vertigo you got in BC, and how it affected your show?
