    Default Favorite hotels??

I'm a hotel junkie. I love staying at really nice hotels, even if it is only for a night or two. 24 hour room service required!! Since I will be traveling a lot this summer, I want to stay in some truly fabulous places. So what are your favorites?

    Mine (so far) are:

The Wynn, Hard Rock, and Fantasy Tower @ Palms, Las Vegas
    W Times Square, NYC
    Portofino Bay, Orlando
Shutters on the Beach, Santa Monica
    Hotel del Coronado, San Diego
    The Sanctuary, Paradise Valley, AZ
    Four Seasons, Toronto

I really want to go to Mandarin Oriental in Miami and Atlantis in the Bahamas. Anyone been? Any other suggestions for hotels in Miami and the Bahamas?? Or hotels in Los Angeles (thinking Chateau Marmont)?

MO is uber nice, I'd totally recc them! My cousin had his wedding there.

Personally, I'm a total Ritz snob. It has to do with the afternoon tea, and blueberry scones!
I've been to the local one (SRQ), naples, west palm, south beach, atl, san fran, amelia island, dc, boston, NYC ....... I think my father owns stock in the ritz!
I always stay in a suite, it's just more comfortable to me, and it feels less like a hotel.

The naples ritz is lovely, it's a nice chill out place, with fantastic shopping in the area aswell. and if you go there, I'll come down to meet you! Tea on me

The Sanctuary is awesome, been there several times, and had to be dragged away! I like the AZ Biltmore too, as well as the Biltmore in Providence.

Four Seasons in Philadelphia is awesome too, great for celebrity sightings

It all depends on your budget. My personal two favorites have been the Hard Wood suite at the Palms in Vegas and the St. Regis hotel in NYC. The St. Regis was pretty unreal with each floor having its own butler!

Gimme a bed, a tv that works and semi clean room and im happy

Seriously... when im on the road for work these are the kind of places I live in! LoL

Okay fine... my fav ever hotel is the Embassy Suites in Niagara Falls(Canada side).

I cant do the whole overly fancy shmancy thing... I get uncomfy and feel like I dont belong.

Man, this reminds me of the time that I stayed in a lodge in N.C. I checked into my room for the night and all seemed well, then when I went to turn on the lamo I noticed a HUGE stain. I looked closer and realized it was blood. It looked like someone had been stabbed in the chair. When I say huge, I mean a pool of ozzy sticky blood the size of a Big Mac.
Just thinkin about it makes my skin crawl.
Worst part was I had to stay there for the night.

But my fav chain Hotel on a budget would have to be La Quinta, I also love how they allow your pets to stay for free.

    Thanks everyone!

Not much of a budget - I'm looking for high end hotels only. Anyone have any suggestions for Montreal??

Lola - I would love to meet you! How far is Naples from Miami??

DW - I went to a party at the Hardwood suite one time. It was cool. I also went to a party in Kingpin Suite and it was so fucking cool. It had a bowling alley in the middle of the room! It sounded like thunder in the hallway. I want to stay in one of the ones with the pools that stick out over the edge.

^^No Holiday Inns for me! Definitely not on vacation. I only stay in a budget hotel if I'm working, but if I'm there for fun, I like to go all out.

Atlantis is nice, but make sure you get the new tower. I forget the name. They have 3 towers- less expensive, expensive and most expensive.

    Venetian in Vegas.

Any RC will do the job.

BTW I'll be staying at the Westin Kaanapali Villas in July. It's a timeshare and I'm renting it for the week from the owner. I found it on Craigslist, so will report back on it.

4 hours at most. But I totally wouldn't mind having a little vacay to miami!!!!! So if you can't make it up to naples, I'd come down. Maybe, since tea is an afternoon thing, we could do a mini sw fest! I know there are lots of so fla babes!

The only date this summer totally off limits for me is 7/28.

Some of the best hotel food around; definitely my favorite room service ever. Awesome bathtubs and bath products, too.

The Stephen F. Austin Intercontinental in ATX is pretty damn excellent, especially the Governor's Suite. And most of their suites in general.

I feel you on the 24hr room service, LatRose. Sadly I also love spas which mostly lack it - there is one, the excellent Vista Clara in Galisteo NM. I loved the Kingfisher Spa on Vancouver Island despite the lack of food after 10pm.

Hmm. I liked the Millenium in London a lot 'cause it was big. I'm pretty faithful to Westins/Ws so I think I've stayed in them coast to coast. Honolulu being my favorite.

Right now it is my mission to go to New Orleans while the Ritz-Carlton rates there are still rock-bottom.

When I travel I like to use gayot.com for their 'top 10' lists for major cities. They have lists for luxury, boutique, romantic, and economy usually.

Woodland's in Charleston South Carolina. Nice place! I don't go to many hotels but this is the most luxurious one I've been to.

    I want to stay at the Awahnee someday too!! ;_;

Marriott Marquis. Something about being on Times Square. Hope the elevators are working better by now.

In Phoenix, the Marriott Desert Ridge was pretty nice. Actually, I've enjoyed Marriott quite a bit in a number of places. If I'm on my own dime, the Courtyard by Marriott or Fairfield Inn does fine for me, with free wireless, and points on the Marriot Rewards system.

Millenium Broadway Hotel in NYC is great.

But my faves are the Inn at Biltmore in NC and Mohonk House in upstate NY. Neither one has 24 hour room service but they are both set in castle like estates and have gorgeous grounds. Like being in a fairytale.

Absolutely badass! Plus if you drop one of their soaps in the whirlpool tub it creates this crazy thick fragrant foam.

Thanks for the link. Looks wonderful. I'm bookmarking that and going to plan a nice little romantic weekend there, I think.

I'm mostly a Hilton guy...the one in Paris kicked ass, IMO (just two blocks from the Eiffel Tower, as well as a Metro stop for getting around town). Staying within that family, I usually don't go wrong with an Embassy Suites either.

I haven't stayed in too many non-chain places, except in Vegas...Hard Rock and the Palms top my list. I'm trying Green Valley Ranch for Memorial Day weekend.
