Default nuva ring and constant bleeding

So I thought the Nuva Ring would be great since pills don't work for me. I knew there would be some spotting when I started, but this goes beyond spotting. I bleed constantly! So I had to take it out. I just can't handle that. It probably isn't normal to bleed everyday on Nuva Ring either. But has anyone had the same experience? I'm gonna have to try something else. If this has happened to you, what did you end up using?

That happenend for my first month, because I started using while I was menstruating. It cleared up after my first period while using the ring.

The first time I tried it I had it in for three months, and the spotting didn't go away. And it was more than spotting. Then I took it out. When I tried again recently I was bleeding everyday...more than just spotting.

That happened to me too, but I figured out that if I started on day 4 of my cycle, then it didn't happen. The first time I used it I started on day 4 and had no bleeding. Then I got off of it for a few months and started back on day 5. I bled for like 3 weeks and took it out again for a couple months, then started it on day 7 and had the bleeding problems again. So after another break I started it on day 4 again and I was fine.

I'm sure everyone is different, but maybe you could take a break from it and once your cycle is regular again, try starting it on a different day and see if that works.

Wow...I just read that and I know it sounds confusing lol.

I feel like I'm the only one in the world but I use a diaphram. I will not fuck with my hormones. I had one bf who didnt like it because he could feel it sometimes, and my current bf loves it because he can feel it sometimes.

I'm too scared to use Nuva Ring. I always think it will end up coming out on the guy's penis (and to one of my friends, it did). As far as the bleeding thing, I've never heard that, just w/ Depo and the pill... but I suppose any hormones could cause that. What did you mean when you said the pill doesn't work for you? If you bleed crazy on that, too it's probably the hormones. I guess your other alternatives would be condoms (ya sucks I know), the patch, or perhaps an IUD?? Maybe talk to your doc about that .. no hormones from what I understand.

My step mother used an IUD and it made her sterile... it created a whole lotta scar tissue and now she cant have kids... And if you do just do the condom thing try Kimonos or Four Seasons... they're the best and most... natural feeling shall we say.

oooh, I never heard that about IUDs although I suppose there's always something ... but I was never able to get one anyways, my doc won't give it to me unless I've had a child (idk why, maybe he doesn't want to get blamed if I become barren!). yikes! what a scary thought..
