Ok, just went and peeked in. This site looks like it has a lot of promise. The only thing I'm unsure of is this: So, if you set up your own personal site on this page, and bring customers to it, aren't they going to be a tad bit put off by the word "wealthy dancer"??

Yeah, I probably wouldn't use this to contact customers. There is always Myspace and good old fashioned web pages.

Well if you can hold off for another month or so, you'll have another site to use. My site should be up and running by then and it has the same basic design, but you will earn money for every customer that accesses your page.

You can do the same thing yourself on myspace. I have a work page up myself. It's only been a couple of weeks since I've had it going but so far I have brought new clients in to see me, and I am able to give repeat customers that info so they can check my schedule and decide when to come back and see me. Plus with myspace messaging, they can email me there.

I'm going to have to look into that wealthy dancer more though.

I highly doubt they'll supply personal domains (e.g www.gueneveredancer.com) as those are $10/year at least. But, you can always go get one on your own, and set it up to redirect to your wd page- if you have a lil html skill you could even put it in a frame so wealthydancer.com wouldn't show in the url.

Call me paranoid, but I'll let y'all be the guinea pigs...I'm a little wary of entering my income information on a website that doesn't seem to have much going for it at the moment. I am failing to see the legitimacy.
I can use a simple Word document to record my earnings and expenses, and Windows Calculator still works just fine. Everything else on the site can be taken care of by SW.

That site looks promising. On the flipside, atleast the guys that see you on the site may regard you as a professional. The downside is that I'll have to pull out all the heavy tricks for a LD when guys see this site. They may figure that you're bad as hell if you're a "wealthydancer" lol.

I'll admit that I get a lil lazy

Looks like a neat idea, though I don't think there will be enough dancers utilizing the site for it to be a sustainable business model. Too much of a niche market. I say the site lasts 2-3 years, at most.

It also has some "fatal flaws":

    1. The name is horrid. Wealthy Dancer? It's a death sentence for the site if clients can see it. Custies really don't care for that sort of shit. If the name is hidden in ALL custie interactions, that's different.

    2. Inputing income and expenses online? Are you serious? I don't see anything on the website about security or privacy protections.

The creators of this website should take their resources and focus on designing some client, income and expense tracking software for dancers to run on their OWN computers and market that instead. Even though you can already do that with existing programs, one that was customized for dancers might be marketable...maybe.

Question: Is your myspace set to private or public? When I do set up my myspace, I want to filter out the BS. I dont want all these tiny-boppers checking out my page...

www.goldcoastgirl.info redirects to my myspace page

Think about it... much easier for someone to remember my url due to the .info and the name (goldcoastgirl) than it is for someone to try to find me out of millions of other gold coast girls on myspace... not everyone is internet savvy. I work on the priviso that everyone can at least remember a web address and not really know about myspace etc.

As for filtering out tenny boopers... you can set it up now under your account settings that you only receive over 18 friend requests. I also have set my profile to private so you have to be a friend to view the page first so this takes care of the "this site may cause offense" part if someone isn't looking for strippers and accidentially comes across my page.

And it really doesn't take that much skill to do the table frame trick yet I still would stay away from a website with that (wealthy dancer) name for clients. That is more of a great website name for dancers who are looking at ways to become wealthy ... to use thier income to invest and so forth (to be wealthy) instead of generating clients.

I just have a pic of my cat as the main pic and it says "swinger" not "single"

--amazing what that will do for the 7 msgs a day (LITERALLY) that say 'yo ma jus sayin uz hott n wud u like to be on im'

I didn't want to change it to private cuz assholes from my past have a right to look at me and how awesome I am, and I don't have to accept their friend request!!

How will that be working? Will customers have to pay you to use the site?
