    Default Long hair

My hair is the longest its ever been in my life its down to the middle of my back and I love it but i need some suggestions in taking good care of it. My hair is pretty straight but i notice that it gets a bit wavy and hour or so after styling and it needs alot of moistirizer i want to do a deep condition on it but don't know what one to buy. I tryed biosilks deep conditioning treatment but it did not help i think i need to use more then the dime size amount the package recomends. Any long hair care tips would be appricated thanks.

Biosilk didn't work? Wow! I love that line! I've worn my hair long since highschool (it's either mid-back or waist length at any given point in the year). I've found that regular, tiny trims are a must. Let your hair air-dry (wash it the night before, put in some product and comb through). Get biosilk's Silk Therapy and put a couple drops in your conditioner. If your ends feel dry, rub a drop (a little goes a LONG way) in your hands and smooth over the ends (it helps with flyaways, too).
If you think school is hard, try being stupid.

Trim the ends every two or three months.

always put your hair into a braid or a plait when you sleep... saves you from getting lots of tangles in the morning!

Olive oil is my savior LOL. Seriously. My hair is at my waist now and it gets so frizzy and dried out... a girl I used to dance with, who had amazingly long hair, clued me in on olive oil (it's also great for the skin). I coat my hair in it for an hour, wash it out, twice a month now. I also do avocado masks once a month, cholesterol treatments, and placental treatments... each once a month at this point. I have it trimmed bi monthly. I sleep with it tied back in soft scrunchies. IF I ever pull my hair back during the day and I want to keep it smoothed back, I don't use hair spray or gels or stuff like that, I use shea butter lotions. Also, I take prenatal multivitamins (no, not cause....) and they are so awesome for hair.

Keep in mind, however, that my hair may be totally different than yours. I have thin, fine, dry-from-dying hair.

TIGI (Bedhead & Catwalk) shampoos and conditioners always make my hair feel wonderful. I use Biosilk silk drops after I wash and condition my hair. I work a few drops through damp hair and blowdry and it is soooo silky. Also, look into getting a gloss treatment at a salon just for shine. Not damaging at all and your hair is sooo shiny. Regular trims are a must too.

It would help if you told us what type of hair you have - thin, thick, coarse, dry, fine, color-treated, etc.

    yup, olive oil

i use that in my hair (only halfway down and through to the ends), let it sit for about 5-10 minutes, then shampoo and condition normally.

i also don't blow dry unless i'm going out (so like, never, lol) i also lay off all product during the week. don't wring it when it it's wet either.

I have the same hair type too. Living in the desert doesn't seem to help it much either.
All of the treatments you mentioned have worked really well for me, although I haven't tried the placental one. Hmmmm...I wonder if...nah. I just got an image of me throwing my placenta in the blender and it wasn't a pretty image.

Yes prenatals are awesome for hair growth. Biotin and eating lots of seaweed is supposed to help a lot for growth and strength too. Another variation of the olive oil is coconut oil. It just smells a little better but I'm sure the properties are similar.
