So yesterday my right eye was very unhappy because I hadn't been taking good care of my contacts, and I'd been wearing that pair for over a month when I'm supposed to wear them for 2 weeks. So when I got home I took them out, put in a fresh pair, but my right eye was still a little irritated for a few hours, but it went away. Then when I wake up my eye has .. um.. yeah, I know it's gross, but you know when your eye produces extra yellow stuff and tries to glue itself shut? Yeah. So that usually means pink eye, right? Problem is, my eyes aren't really red at all. They don't look any different from normal -- in fact, they look identical, but the right one is the only one that glued itself shut. I had this exact problem last summer, went to the doctor and got pink eye drop prescription, used up the whole bottle in 3 or 4 with virtually no change in the state of my eyeballs. Once the bottle was used up, I was in New York, so I couldn't go get another prescription, so I just left it alone and (continuing to wear the same contacts) the eyes just healed by themselves.
I wouldn't be distressed so much about potentially having pink eye except for the fact that if you do have it, you have to throw out everything that's been contaminated by that eye -- contacts, and eye makeup -- so expensive! I'm still building up my eyeshadow collection from last summer when I had to throw it all out.
Here's a pic to show you how my eyes look. The eye in question is the right one, facing more towards the camera. What do you girls think? Pink eye or no?

It is a little sore when I poke my eyelid. I just don't want my doctor to tell me to throw away all my eye makeup!
