I think I want to go from blonde to red. Good idea? Bad idea?
I want this color (yes, it's Kirsten Dunst from "Spiderman")...
This is me now, natural color with highlights...
What do you think? Pros/cons?

I think it would look pretty damn good.
I think thats a great color but it really depends on your skintone. If you are pale, like Kristen is in her pic, then yes. But if your skin tends to be ruddy pink or reddish I'd say no.
Well, that's me in the second pic. I'm quite fair with a lot of freckles and my skin has blue and pink undertones. I dyed my hair auburn when I was about 13 and it looked pretty good, but the upkeep was a bitch (my roots and eyebrows are really ashy).
My main hesitation is that I really like the blonde I have right now and I think it looks good. I'm just bored with it!
^Its hard to tell skintone with the blue light from the computer on you.
From your description, it sounds like you could totally pull it off.

I think it would rock. Although maybe just a slight bit darker for you.

I think redheads are hot, but I'm not a fan of the orangey red. I think a deep red is much sexier, with maybe a few lighter streaks near the face. But yeah, I think it would look good on you. Just remember to do your brows too!
Only con I can think of is that once you go red, it is really hard to get that reddish tint out of your hair once you get sick of it. And it fades really fast. I would get it done at salon to ensure happy results
So continuing with our Kirsten Dunst theme, perhaps a color like this instead?
Or this, which is pretty similar to the auburn I had when I was 13?

I think it would bring out the redness in your freckles too much, honestly. :/

DO IT!!!!!!!! you will get all kinds of attention youll love it!!!!!!!!!
If you are happy with your blonde right now, you might want to wait awhile before going red. After you do it, there's no going back. It will be extremely difficult to achieve a natural look again if you want to change it. I've been an artificial redhead for 4 years now and its because it will be extremely expensive and damaging to my hair to revert to a natural color. All of the other things the girls said about a lot of upkeep are right too. But if you really want to, go for it! I think the color you picked is awesome and will look good on you. (BTW the blonde is beautiful too.)
Maybe I should try on a wig or something, LOL!
Red heads are hot! You would look great as a red head. Your skin looks pretty fair in the pix.

Being a redhead is damn fun!! The only shitty part is that it is major upkeep. If I don't go in every 5-6 weeks, the red just doesn't last.
Because there ain't no tits on the radio
I love red hair. I think it would make your blue eyes look even bluer.
Red is very hot, I love it. But it fades Sooooo fast, especially on lighter hair. Mine doesn't hold red for crap.
I believe you Dottie and you have my support

I think it would look great! I love natural red colours for hair, as opposed to the darker wine/burgundy colours and have a lot of men (I'm not a stripper though) make a big deal over my hair because they think it's natural and they like it a lot.
I have blue and pink undertones on very pale skin, freckles etc. and red hair absolutely makes my skin look beautiful. My natural colour (Blond) totally washes me out and I look boring. Red hair is so pretty.. if your skin is like mine then probably flush easily but it seems to suit the hair colour and be attractive. At least that is what i am told.
Cons? Don't forget to do your eyebrows. If you do a much darker red than your natural blonde colour then when it starts to grow in your roots might make you look kind of grey.. I've been a fake red for 10 years and when the colour is not a lot darker than my natural one the roots are not a big deal and I can colour my hair less often.

I dyed my hair bright red when I was seventeen, over blonde hair...it did fade fast, and while it was fading I started dying blonde on top of it to lighten it out again.
At one point, about a year after the initial dying (YES the red pigment lasts A LONG TIME) I had this awsome, shiny, strawberry blonde colour that I got compliments on from everybody, all the time. From bosses, etc. It was a cool colour, but it was a total accident that I couldn't repeat if I tried. So light red colours, with blonde undertones, really can look amazing.
I wouldn't do it again because I think my skin gets too pinkish for red. I had a bad dying experience last winter that I am only now recovering from...so I have this strong urge to say "NO! Keep the blonde! I so missed my blonde (I'm a natural medium honey blonde that I highlight, pretty well same as you)", but I can totally relate to the boredom. When I did dye my hair, everyone said "I like the blonde better". All my friends, my mom, boyfriend, everyone. So now I'm staying blonde! lol
I think I just have this non-descript face...I end up getting defined by my hair. At three separate clubs, people call me "blondie" as a pet name. There are so many blondes, but it's kinda all that stands out for me...So anyway, that's my tale of hair dying regret.
So my suggestion would be to try a wig for a while first? See how you like it? Red is tough.
You know what you could do is the fusion extensions! I wouldn't have even thought of it if I hadn't just done them on a friend but it's a great way to add color without changing your own color and you might not get annoyed at the fusion extensions (I think you told me you don't like extensions??). Anyway, you could add the right shade of red with the fusion like lowlights!
Either way, I do think it would suit you. A good middle shade between strawberry and deep red!!

i'm a natural redhead! suckaz!!!
just teasing. if you have blue and pink undertones, blue eyes, and freckles (like i do!) and orangey red is going to be more natural and a dark red is gonna be more dramatic. kirsten dunst's color is a pretty good one but your eyebrows look pretty dark in that picture so i'd go darker just in case. i think an auburn like marcia cross's would be <u>stunning</u> on you.

god i hope html works here
^^^ Nope, you gotta use BBCode instead of HTML.
I checked the link anyway though, and wow, I love that color! That's pretty similar to how I wear my hair, too. Next time I get a haircut I'll take these pictures into my stylist to see what she thinks.

best of luck! PS, this is me! (on the right)
