Default "Let me think about it" grrr!!!

When trying to get a customer into VIP, you think you've got them closed on the sale, they even express a lot of interest in going and then at the last moment they do the "Well, let me think about it". That drives me nuts!!! Let me think about it is translation to no, I'm not interested but I don't have the balls to tell you otherwise. Have any of you ever been able to get the "let me think about it" turned into a closed sale or are you better off just moving on as quick as possible? I've tried the "well, I most likely will be taken, so why don't we go now". That never works. Any suggestions?

Maybe you've not maintained the illusion it's all about him and not about the $$$'s?

Have you considered the alternative possibility that you've 90% sold them on the dance, then you mention money (or such like) and the guy suddenly thinks "Leogirl only wants my money - she's not getting hot about dancing for me after all".

It's then become a commercial transaction and not a "wonderful erotic experience".

Isn't your "I'm not interested but I don't have the balls to tell you otherwise" just one of the possible explanations?

I'd have said (from the other side of the fence) that understanding the underlying reason why you're getting last minute changes of mind is the first step to avoiding them.

When they say "let me think about it" it's usually because they have some additional questions. I always ask, "oh you must have some questions about spending time with me" or "What's there to think about " And they usually tell me. Usually they do have a question or two and are just to scared to ask. Once I answer their questions I say, "see now that wasn't so bad was it? Now lets go get comfy" and off we go

^^ she's got it right. If they are suddenly backing out, you gotta figure out why and get them back on the right track. If you can get to the bottom of their hesitation and lay it to rest, then you've got them sold.
