Default The grammar police need to run him over

So I got this message sent to me from another myspacer:

"found ya page and just wanted to ask u to check out tha song on my page. its a track me and my partner did for tha ladies,(stay if u wanna) we thinking bout droppin it as a single, and puttin it on tha radio, so its only right tha we see what tha ladies think first!!!

p.s. if u feelin tha song add me as a friend!!!!

    Playboi of YnR"

...Cuz ya Nah Hiz juz tryna git at meh!? LOL

I mean we all save time by shortening words and such but damn when youre trying to sound intelligent or at least have a brain bigger than one brain cell to someone spell words like they were meant to be spelled...correctly!

Anyone else wanna share their lame messages from myspace too?

LOL, I have friend requests from bands blocked (because I was getting a zillion a day), and there's a bit on my page saying I'm not interested in everyone's garage band. I got a message from some dude saying, "UR A BADN HATER! Fu bich!" LOL, I wanted to message him back and say, "Yep, and that's why!"

I hate hate hate Netspeak Pidgin. I told my sister that if her emails were anything less than proper, then I would delete the email without reading it. She'll thank me someday.

I have an away message up permanently at myspace. Occasionally if Im bored I think about taking it down for a while to see what rubbish comes in, but naaaah, lol.

That was one of the worst nu skool spellin things Ive seen though, but at least it was short!

actually, when a band contacts me, Ill listen to their tracks, and if I like what I hear, I will approve their Friends request.

So far, what I have heard and liked amounts to maybe 5 percent of the bands I have listened to. Thats a lot of Garage Band crapola flying around.

I have a friend who writes like this .. I can't even reproduce what he types, it's so irritating when you have to decipher someone's text like it's fucking egyptian heirglyphics or something!! We ALL shorten words and phrases, we all make spelling/grammer errors .. that's a given. But when you write like that intentionally (and I say intentionally, because from what I can see, this is common in youth and young men who think they're gangsters), it gets on my nerves!! BOO!!

I don't really see where all the shortening words on the internet really needs to be done. Anyone with half the competency of a squirrel in typing on a keyboard can type properly faster than they would be able to doing the "netspeak". I can understand it in text messages, but I still hate it.

That's the really sad part... it probably took him less time to type that than it would have to just use ENGLISH. I mean, especially if you're trying to advertise your band... Would you type like that on your resume?

Yet another reason we need to ban use of SMS. I suggest we put electrodes in teenagers brains that will shock them anytime they write text speak on something that isn't a cellphone.

By the time they're in college, they'll hopefully comprehend the beauty of complete sentences.

Yeah, I get a lot of phone numbers and stuff.. with all the crap in the news about how people are being tricked into scary situations by people they met on myspace, I'm curious as to why anyone would want to just advertise their personal information. Like, are they that big of losers and trying to possibly create a social life, or are they serious in thinking that this is a great way to meet women?? WTF?! I have a hard time giving my e-mail address to people I don't know ... geez. (Although, this is in part due to the fact that my email address is like [email protected])

EDIT: okay, I keep trying to take out that hyperlink for the e-mail and it keeps putting it back in .. IT'S NOT REAL, DON'T CLICK ON IT!! (well, actually it may be real, but it's not mine)

Clearly, I'm not missing out on anything by not having a MySpace page...

I had some kid send me a message begging me to bring him into porn. He would PAY me to get him into porn...and then he gave me his phone number, address, SSN, all his personal info. Stupid friggin' kid didn't even think about the fact that I could run wild with all his info. I get so much crap from so many people that it takes hours to sift through it.
