    Default Anybody in Japan

    Hi,

I've been dancing for a couple of years now and I'm thinking of heading over to Japan.

My biggest concern is a tattoo I have on my arm. It is about 4 inches long and 1 inch wide. I have heard that the Japanese clubs do not allow tattoos period.

Any information would be most appreciated regarding dancing in Japan.

Why Japan? You've missed the boat on that market being lucrative.

As lovely and safe as Japan is to dance within the market has changed and not for the better. You'll need proper work visas or else you won't be able to get into any decent club over there and make any decent money.

Visit it as a tourist not for work.

Yeah I know, but I'm just looking for a good OS location. Do you have any other suggestions?

Have you used the serch feature? Some of the other threads might be helpful. There are some about Japan and quite a few about travelling OS

    dont write japan off!!

vanessa, you havent even been! lol

Bam, they dont mind tattoos, so long as they are tasteful, and arent TOO big (althoguh there was one japanese girl with a full back yakuza piece hehe) if you can cover it, theyd would prefer that.

contact Justin at he works under a system like janet at the best dancers.com but seems to have a vairiation of clubs.

money can be awesome in japan, im hearing its slowly getting better there.

other places you could go depend on your visa, and whats easy for you to get

Yeah, I've used it and it was full of good info. The tattoo was probably my biggest concern so I was hoping to get that answered directly.

My information doesn't just come from here (stripperweb). I am always asking other girls where they have been and how they found the place ... due to my natural tendancy to research and always wanting to know what is happening where especially OS... I received more unfavourable reports about working in Japan in the last three years than favourable.

(It's the old if 10 people say something isn't good then that something mustn't be good..)

No one disputed that Japan was a lovely country just stripping-wise that boat has passed for the time being due to the changes.

It's going to be awhile before the money is anywhere near worth it to go to a foreign country for such a long period of time. You just have to look at it this way: could you earn the same or more money working similiar hours (without the whole having to see guys OTC) back in your own country?

I didn't strip in japan but I lived there for about 3 months (tokyo). Gogo dancers is very popular though.

That is correct, as far as I can tell, and applies to the Japanese economy in general, not just SCs and dancing.

My guess is that the money is not good enough to make it worthwhile if you don't like dancing and living in the unique Tokyo/Roppongi/Shibuya etc environment, but if you love it (the way some of us do, eh mer-chan?), then the money can't definitely be good enough (depending on your hustle, looks, style etc...as always and anywhere) to make it a sensible choice. In other words, I don't think that the money is bad, not a place to avoid on that score...just not great and not a place to go strictly because of earning potential.

Anyway, I'll be back over there in late May and early June and can post a fresh reading on the clubs (if I don't spend all of my money elsewhere, which is possible).
