    Default memory foam pillows

i'm considering investing in this type of pillow (aka tempur-pedic, beautyrest, etc.) for a better night's sleep, as i tend to sleep on my stomach. does anyone have any reviews on this pillow? are they all that they're cracked up to be?

hrmm...i sleep on tummy and i dont' think it's so great for that. If I slept on my back or side it would cradle my head nicely, but when I'm on my stomach it doesnt have enough give and my neck is torqued.

    ^Agreed.

I can't live without my foam rubber pillows--they're softer and squishier than the tempurpedic stuff, I think. Hard to find, though!

Yes, I think so, but honestly I don't know what they're marketed as....I don't even know where to get them...Maybe the big department stores like Bloomingdales? (I've always just stolen them from my Mom.)

They're spongy...and....not as dense as the memory foam. They're absolutely perfect for squishing up into just the right shape to go under your head & neck if you sleep on your tummy. Also good if you sleep on your back. Honestly, if I sleep on anything else I wake up with a sore neck. I'm not a high-maintenance chick, really, but I have a special stuff-sack that squishes them up real small so I can take them with me everywhere.

Even when I was working a job where I had to backpack long distances over really treacherous terrain carrying food and gear for 8 days, I carried my foam rubber pillow--it was totally worth the extra weight!!!

(I have one memory foam pillow, too, but someone gave it to me, so it may not be the highest quality. To me it seems too dense, and not very comfortable.)

Mmmm I love my memory foam pillow. You can really squish your face into it and it feels wonderfully comfortable.

I've never used one, but I know that my Grandma* used to have a mattress, and when she tried to use the memory foam mattress with a regular pillow, she got intense neck pain and such. When she went in to the store where she bought it, they told her that that was fairly normal considering what she was doing, and that she really needed to buy the matching pillow.
Not at all sure if this would work in the opposite way (pillow and no mattress) but maybe ask? I don't want you to waste your money.

    *Nerdy, I know.
