And for those of you who drink lots, what are the positive effects you've seen from a high water intake? ie, clearer skin, etc.

I aim for a gallon a day(and things like tea, coffee and soda CAN count towards liquid intake..but careful since anything with caffine counteracts by being a diuretic).
Sometimes I hit the mark..sometimes I dont. As for results...couldnt say honestly ...





I probably drink about 8 cups a day of water, and 2-3 or so more of other liquids like milk. I don't do it on purpose though, it just makes me feel good.
-This is weird, but it helps me with my anxiety. If I start freaking out or feeling nervous, I distract myself by gulping a big glass or two of water. I don't know why it works.
-I think it helps with digestion and stomach acid. Actually, this is probably why drinking it makes me feel better when I feel anxious cause I get acid when I stress.
-It flushes waste out. You really need to be drinking more than 1 cup of fluid a day! You don't want all that icky stuff sitting around in your body for so long. How often do you pee?





This is usually me. Even that one cup is usually kool-aid. But over the past couple weeks, I've been making myself drink water. It's not as much as most drink, but it's a ton for me. I dont think I'll ever get up to 1 gal (the idea makes my tummy turn) but a bottled water/day is pretty good for me

I buy 1 gallon of water. I aim to finish it every day. I used to drink NO water, just soda. I got over my soda addiction and the caffiene addiction. I dont really like water, but you get used to it. I feel much better if I drink my water. a gallon a day really isnt that hard to do either. I just take that gallon jug everywhere with me, and sip all day. It's amaznig....after you get over a soda addiction, how bad it is for you once you drink it again. Soda makes my teeth feel yucky, it makes me burp and feel bloated...I feel much better if I stick to water, and just get a treat of soda like, when I go out for dinner or something.
I need to drink more water too.... I try to but usually I only get a water bottle or two. If I feel dehydrated but don't feel like water then I make crystal light. I love their ice tea and lemonade!
I should try the gallon water thing for awhile....I just think I'd have to pee like crazy all the time or that my tummy would get bloated!![]()

If I'm working I drink about 7 20oz. bottles of water a day. I guzzle that shit like crazy, because I get dehydrated really easy. (I take meds that are salt based, so that doesn't help.) If I'm *not* working, I have probably 4 20oz. bottles.
Of course they count as liquid intake but as far as hydration goes they dont count.
Im aiming for my 8 glasses a day. For the periods when I succeed I feel more alert, have more energy, my skin isnt so dry and my asthma goes away. Im sure it would get even better if i could just keep it up all the time, lol argh!!
When I fail I wake up feeling like I need a couple of coffees to get started with the day and my general health is just not so vibrant and so on. (I have found though that replacing the morning coffee with a glass of water seems to work!)
When you have enough water intake your urine should be crystal clear everytime you go to the toilet. This is also a really good book!

I drink as much water as I can, but some days, other things like Dr. Pepper or merlot just sound so much better...![]()
I aim for 4 liters, if I'm working out, 3 if I'm not.
My skin is clear and very soft...I also drink very little soda, and rarely have more caffeine than in my green tea in the morning. I pretty much drink only water.
I usually drink 4 or 5 water bottles a day. I work out everyday so I'll either have a whole bottle at the gym or after dancing.
I only drink water, and occasionally green or white tea. I usually drink about 5 or 6 bottles per day of water.




I pee a lot less than other people. I've been told I have a freakish bladder because if I go out in a group everyone has to take pee breaks and I can go all night without one no problem.
I do drink a lot of tea though, but that doesn't really count because I make it very strong and black.
I'm going to start drinking a gallon of water a day...just to see what will happen!

I go in spurts, sometimes I drink alot of water, sometimes almost none at all. I used to not pee alot either Circe, I could go hours without any problem, but the amount of soda and such I drank gave me constant UTI's, and now I pee ALOT.
You probably aren't peeing alot because you're dehydrated from lack of water...when you first start drinking alot, you'll pee all the time. Then it gets back to a normal schedule![]()

Once in my lil experiement, I was making myself drink like 1cup every 15min..boy did I pee alot!
Oh yea, and that was like the first time my pee was ever like clear..I know it's bad but my pee is usually a dark yellow

i have 2-32oz bottles i leave in my refrigerator and i drink at LEAST that much, usually i will refill and drink another one.
Well since I've had my UTI for the past week I've been drinking only water. I feel so much more energized and my skin is doing a whole lot better. I'm definitly gonna start drinking more water on the regular!
I have to force myself to drink a ton of water. If I don't, I get dehydrated and end up with bad migraines. Boo.
In general I feel better when properly hydrated. The water flushes out the system and whatnot.
Only problem is, I swear I have the bladder of a 5-year-old, so I have to pee waaaaaaaay too often.
I drink at least 2 Liters/day. I buy a 2.5 gal jug that stays in the fridge and refill my Dasani bottle. I love drinking itwhen it's nice and cold; it goes down so smooth. It makes me feel healthy and my skin is great.
I aim for about 64oz min and try and do 96oz a day. I use a Nalgean(sp?) bottle to count it. Most days I have two and a half bottles. I think I need to up it a little more and drink rather than eating, but that might be just my own paranoia and control coming into play. I have noticed since doing it I get fewer headaches, and I'm not as thirsty as I used to be. I used to be so dehydrated, which I realized after drinking so much water and hadn't attributed to needing something to drink, if that made sense. Also when I'm surfing the crimson tide I don't get all bloated. Unfortunately I have a bladder the size of a fig so I have to pee every like 30 min. ok that's an exaggeration but I have to pee all the time. Everyone is always asking if I went before we get in the car or go into a movie.
I had major oral surgery and sit here with pretty much a mouth full of stitches. I was told to drink and gently swish and swallow after every bit of food that enters my mouth. I swear i drink too much, which can be bad, so i do a bit of gatorade as well then swish that as well with water and swallow. I am drinking too much water imo. The only difference is i pee and pee and pee far too much and it's clear.
I hate this. All my body parts must be lubed well.
Really i guess if you take a person who pretty much lives on soda to begin with then they start drinking lots of water there would be a difference. But i drank water before this shit surgery. So i see no difference in skin.
