Being a dancer have it kinks, especially to people out side of the business. I will like to start a thread about ways to keep your moods up while being a dancer.

It is what it is, not what you want it to become, that's important -- at least for now. Today, remember that things worth having are worth waiting for!

Have a fulfilling life outside of dancing.

Keep conversations about stripping to a minimum. I find myself talking about work all the time. I get to be a bore.

Enriching your mind with books, hobbies, travel, etc.

I think about horrible minimum wage jobs I have held in the past and how grueling they were. That always lifts my spirits.

I find reading about and getting involved in sex workers rights issues to help with the stigma of dancing.

Don't allow yourself to get burn-out.

Do something worthwhile with your money: investments, degree, etc.

Change venues works for me. I'm glad I do private dancing because staying in one place fries me to the end.

    Buy experiences, not stuff.

Make friends in the industry who are also smart and discuss investments. It makes you feel more genius in your career choices.
