Turn on some loud thrash or metal it will resonate with the central nervous system and inspire you to get up and rock. A little Bloody Mary or Powerade helps also.

Do you go to school or anything else that requires large chunks of time besides sleep? If not then go to sleep during the day and make your body go on a new sleep schedule. You could also take a nap.
I like to find the nearest 7-11 and get coffee if I have to be awake that late or early lol you know what I mean.
you live like an ivy vine
you can only survive by clinging onto trees
that's your flaw
put down some roots so you can stand on your own

Any piece of clothing can be sexy with a quietly passionate woman inside it.

It doesn't matter what time of day it is, I am a slug. So first I lay in bed a while with my eyes closed and I stretch, stretch, stretch to get awake. Then I put on a sweatshirt so I'm not cold. Then I get up, turn on some music and jump around for about five minutes to get my blood pounding.
Also, what about getting full spectrum light bulbs or just turning on the brightest lights in your house to fool your body?
Put the alarm clock on the opposite side of the room so you're forced to get out of bed to turn it off.
^^^ I used to do that when I was in high school. I never got used to waking up at five in the morning.
I find that drinking cold caffinatted drinks wakes me up more than the hot alternative. Its kind of like the hot ones make me a warm and comfortable like I'm in bed... BAD! McDonalds iced coffee is one of my favorites, but iced coffee is fairly easy to make at home, as well.

This is the exact thing I do (well at least put the alarm in a spot where I have to actually physically MOVE out of bed to reach it) to get me to wake up at 9am in the morning esp. after working til the early hours.
Also make sure your alarm sound is something that will automatically make you get up ... for me it has to be shrill (high pitched), cats fighting (even it it is a recorded sound and not the cats actually fighting), or talking on the radio (not music).

Ugh, 3am start?
Do you have a day job or school aswell? If not maybe try sleeping at a different time of day and getting up a few hours before you need to start work?
Like if I start at 10pm I work from 10pm-6am,sleep from 7am-2pm and then Im awake until after work again. Maybe you could use a simular schedule but different times.
If thats not possible I dont know how to help. Ive never been good with getting up in the mornings especially if its cold outside!
The alarm clock across the room trick...hah! I have three alarms around my room...in my sleep state I actually get up three times and still oversleepI'm so lame.

I peel and eat an orange every morning to wake me up. The juice is like liquid sunshine, and the whole process of peeling the orange keeps me from being as sleepy as I would be just drinking some orange juice out of a carton. So much healthier than coffee too!
I like to wake up to music on my ipod. I place the clock across the room as well. My clock/ipod has a setting where it starts off quiet and gets to full volume in one minute. If I were to just use a buzzer, I walk across the room, shut it off, and crawl back into bed. With music that gets louder, I wake up more pleasantly and while I may lie there for a few minutes with the music on, it's enough to wake me up so that I don't shut it off and get back in bed. Plus, the music itself helps get me going and wanna go to work!!
i do the alarm thing also, one in my bedroom, one in the kitchen so even if i get up to shut off my bedroom one, the kitchen one will drive me nuts so i have to get up. sometimes i just keep my eyes closed, find my way to the bathroom splash my face with icecold water, open my eyes go to the fridge and down a redbull. works for me...lol
The clock across the room never worked for me. I woudl put 3 in different areas of my room, set to go off 5 minutes apart, and I would get up and turn each one off and crawl back into bed. Every 5 minutes. For hours.
The onyl thign that ever worked for me was to get a phoen call each morning and have that person talk to me while I got a drink and peed. The ONLY thing that woudl work.
In college, the teacher set up a call list for me, and all the students took turns callign me every morning.
At my nursing job...my boss woudl personally call me from her home every morning.
I cannot wake up. Never could. Good thign peopel liked me enough to go out of their way to call my lazy ass. And listen to me pee. That is all that would work, cause I woudl lay in bed and lie. YEah..Im up...going to the bathroom now. Yep..IM up....
The person on the phoen woudl actually need to hear water running to be convinced I was actually out of bed.
So if your as bad as me..the phone call is the best thing to do, if you have anyoen who woudl do that for you.
I remember hearing about this years ago. Its made for people who find it hard to get out of bed. You turn it off by throwing it at the wall and then it bounces around and the next time it goes off you have to scrabble around to find it and so on which helps to wake you up. The plain old alarm clock across the room thing never really worked for me, but this might.
Theres also a "daylight" alarm clock Ive read about which is a type of light that imitates sunrise inside your room. Its a much nicer and better way to wake up. I think I read about it on Dr mercolas site, but I have no idea what the products called. I have the feeling that its expensive too. )-:
Wow, I'm huddled over the keyboard, sucking down coffee, and wanting to go back to bed myself.
When there's time, a shower always does it for me. But, if it's work I'm waking up for, I let myself sleep as long as I need. I do *not* make money when I'm cranky and yawning on stage.
If you think school is hard, try being stupid.
