So I was working on saturday, it wasn't very busy, I made £110 after house fees. There was no way you could only spend 3 songs with any one group or I would have been sitting by myself at the bar all night!
It was about 1am and I went to sit with 2 guys who apparently always come to the cub when they are in town, so they know most of the girls but they are not really "regulars". I had been sitting with them a few minutes and they ordered drinks, one guy reached to get his wallet from his pocket when he felt something... and pulled out a kitchen knife from the back of the couch. He was as freaked as me. It definitely wasn't his!!! He held it with his finger tips and tried to hand it to me. I was like "NO WAY! Put it down!!!"
He gave it to the waitress when she came back, and he told security a few minutes later.
At the time no-one really thought about it, the waitress just took it away, and we breathed a sigh of relief.
Only afterwards did we start thinking about it.
There are kitchen knives at the bar, but the bar is in the next room... so whey would it have come through?
So therefore, someone must have brought it in
Did it fall out of their pocket?
Or did they deliberately put it in the couch so it wasn't in their pocket while they went for a dance? Or so they could come back later and use it for a more sinister use.
The more I think about it, the scarier my thoughts become!

I know if I found a knife in a couch or chair, I would check everytime before I sat down to make sure it was safe.
