    For Ladies with Breast Augmentations...

I had mine done about two years ago. They're saline implants, submuscular, with a crease incision. To get to the point...they're relatively hard...still. Everyone says you gotta massage them consistently, but I really have and there still isn't any improvement. The other thing that's really really bothering me is they move when I use my arms for anything...literally. It's not exactly aesthetically pleasing too have your tits move like pectoral muscles, imo. I'm torn because the job does look really good. But when they move...they move. -You can see them move even under my shirt. It's embarassing.
    Any thoughts on this?

It's wierd to me that they move, yet they're so hard.....

You should call your doctor to set up an appt to discuss your concerns with him.

I just had a thought, are they really big? Like, do the implants go too far out, like to your armpits/side?

hmm.. I think you should get opinions from a few dr. to see what each says. Maybe they can suggest a different placement/implant that'll suit you.

They move because they are placed under your pectoral muscle. It's common in that type of breast implant. I've only noticed it on one of my girlfriends and that's because she showed me what they did when she pushed herself up and out of the pool. I've never noticed it any other time on her or any of my other gf's with implants.

Maybe your skin didn't stretch much and that's why they still feel so firm....I know that sounds odd but I know another girl with that type of issue. Do you have any scar tissue?

yeah a bit weird they are hard still after 2 years.. and the movement going on i wonder if that happens if you have super strong chest muscles? im pretty weak in that area.. but know when i use my chest muscles like getting up or at the gym my boobs jump.. maybe if you are really tight up there and strong that could be why? Always safe to see a dr maybe its the capular contraction we hear about... i know mine get hardish feeling (Ive had them 7 years now) when I wear tight bras for a few days.. when they are restricted.. and i sleep on my chest with my arms under there but so there is a little pressure.. Id make an appt with the dr. I think the first 5 years yearly follow up appts are free..

i hate my implants, for the moving reason and for the fact that they are so heavy. im getting them removed.

    mine are pretty soft though.

If they are hard, you may have capsular contraction (sp?). As for them moving, i dont think its normal, i mean, if your lifting weights or something, yes that totally normal for them to move, and look a little strange. Maybe make an appt. with your plastic surgeon??

I actually saw a girl giving a LD the other night and she was flexing her tit (fake) like a pec muscle! It was actually one of her moves! I didn't think it looked that hot, but whatever. Does anone else do that?

I know a girl with this same thing. Hers are a few years old - still tight and hard and move like that. Hers is because she works out a lot and her pec muscles are really hard. She has to go back and get them over the muscle to fix the issue.

If you have a built up chest from excerising they can be harder or you could have a mild case of CC, among other things, but those two are the most likely reasons. I'd set up an appointment with your surgeon or another one to rule out CC and he could maybe give you some insight.

I've seen a bunch of girls do that move, it's not attractive to me, but I guess some people like it.

A lot of times, the firmness that you may experience will depend on several factors:

-Tightening of the capsule (capsular contracture)
    -Under the muscle placement
    -Saline implants
-Saline implants that are too overfilled

Or a combination of the above. Whenever something foreign is placed into the body, the body's natural reaction is to form a capsule of scar tissue around the object. Now normally, the capsule is not excessively thick but in some patients the body somewhat "over does it", resulting in that (damn) firmness. If you take the implant out and remove the capsule, the implant is just as squishy as it was before the surgery (if you filled it and didn't place it in the body)-- It is never the implant itself that is hard (unless it's too overfilled), it is the capsule.

Say that in addition to forming a semi thick capsule around the implant, you also have under the muscle placement. The pectoralis muscle is strong and firm like any other muscle (squeeze you calf muscle- see?). Now throw something squishy under that muscle and bam! It's still firm, even the squishy object you just placed under it. Muscles pull in a certain direction, hence why when you flex your pecs the implants ride up and to the armpits.

I have a theory though that in some people the capsule kind of grows attached to the pec muscle, resulting in additional distortion/movement in some people versus others. Who knows.

Saline implants are firmer than silicone implants, and some patients consider the salines feel "firm" as compared to actual breast tissue. So although saline implants feel firmER than breast tissue, if you combine that with the other three scenarios, you end up with a pretty hard breast.

    Options? Surgical.

-Capsulotomy: The Dr makes incisions into the capsule and may cut it in sections similar to a pie to loosen it's grip on the implant, and (hopefully) result in a less firm breast.

-Capulectomy: Complete removal of the capsule, will hopefully not end up reforming as hard as before.

-Over the muscle placement: You would be eliminating the super firm feeling from the pectoralis muscle as well as the capsule, since the Dr would have to remove the capsule from under the muscle and then place the implant above the muscle. Hopefully no firm capsule reformation.

^^ There are pro's and con's to both placements, so that last option is best considered on a case by case basis.

-Silicone implants: Very very soft, are prefilled so there is no chance of too much overfill like in a saline implant.

Or a combination of some of the above. Just keep in mind though that like the first surgery or any other surgery, there is again that possibility of complications. If you are ready and willing to take that chance/risk, then I wish you well!

^ I was also thinking they might be overfilled. Lots of doctors overfill to prevent rippling, but the more overfilled they are, the firmer they will feel. If that is the case, they will never get soft unless they spring a leak. Did your doctor say what size in cc's the implants are and how many cc's of saline he put in?

Mine are under/saline and do move when I move ..because they are behind the muscle. However they are soft. it's normal for them to move with you though. they are in your chest wall
